This is exactly right. And in fact, Nate got into a Twitter war with HuffPost who ridiculed him for his lower than mainstream media probability of Hillary winning. HuffPost was the one proven to be wrong, along with just about every other mainstream media pundit. Silver was way, way off, but still closest. And Silver doesn't do the actual polling. He builds models based on past accuracy of each poll. So pollsters need to step back and figure out where they fucked up. And the CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/NBC/MICKEYMOUSE media needs to temper their trust in these pollsters. They all looked like colossal, out of touch idiots last night. I spent the night flipping channels and on every channel there were dumbfounded stares, stammering, and shock. Last night was a massive rejection of establishment politics and establishment media.
