I saw other posters assuming why, I never saw an explanation from Kat. That's why I asked her. And since we're on topic, there are 3 threads about the North Dakota Pipeline. Can we have those consolidated to keep it all together?oftenreading said:

As for the Qatar donation thing, that is bad that she didn't report the donation. Someone or other claimed that they didn't see it as a meaningful increase (and thus not required to report), but... Anyway, the donations are no surprise. Shouldn't be legal for a top level member of government to be linked to such donations, but it is (maybe these emails can help change that). The failure to report (reporting was set up to try and prevent people from suspicion of foreign influence, hardy-har-har) is stupid, since the donation is in the books clear as day.
