and comparing nirvana to nickelback is liking comparing pj to creed. it's beyond nonsense. to me that, no offence, is either a statement you didn't really mean, or you don't really have a firm grasp of the deeper sensibilities of music.

The times my Mom cooked a nice meal for our family and we scarfed it down in 10secs she would always look at the empty dishes and say "if you have to ask for a compliment it's not worth it"
I didn't really like Nirvana during the height of their fame (guess I was one of those PJ fans who couldn't like both bands) but I find myself listening to them now. Something in the Way is one of my faves. Anyway, as for bands I don't like U2 would probably be tops.
Ooh - more responses from the UK please! I love trying to decipher your responses!
K..!?
Personally I never got Good Charlotte - could do with a 'Good Song' I always thought, ha ha! There are more, but that band ALWAYS comes to mind when asked that kind of question!

REM
I have never heard a song from either of these bands that I like.
Just off the top of my head.
I wouldn't challenge the validity of their respective contributions to music culture, I just don't like the music any of them made.
