nine years in the bigs....3.23 ERA....yeah, bush league.....I'm sure you killed it in junior college.

    and, hawks? kidding.

Era had nothing to do with it. And, nah, I had a scholarship at a 4 year. Keep trying you weakling.
And I'm a wings fan. I've seen champions over a 20 year period. Far from what you can talk about..... Johnny come lately

What a game. The atmosphere at Wrigley was unreal.
We were lucky to pull off a W with how well Cueto was pitching
Hoping the bats come alive against The Shark tomorrow

and Bill Murray is the coolest man in the universe
Bill Murray is cool as shit, no doubt, but you can't seriously call EV a lifelong Cub fan. Funny how people forget his years wearing a Sox cap and hanging with Black Jack McDowell.

Great ballgame on both sides and a pretty great day of ball all around.

Cueto isn't bushleague. I don't care if Babe Ruth came back to life just to say it.

    Let's go Cubs!!
    this workday is dragging...........
    have fun, Speedy!!!

    Big day here in Chicago!
Good friends of mine are going to the rooftop for the game. I have some other friends who were given FREE tickets for tonights game.

I will be right where I belong this evening. In my semi, at work, listening to the game on the radio. Just like I have listened to 90% of Cubs games over the last 20 years.

Tomorrow I plan on getting to Wrigley early, and soaking it all in!
By "soaking it all in" are you referring to beer or the atmosphere? My guess is both. Have a great day & enjoy the game. Go Cubbies
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
    What You Giving

I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!

I don't think any of us are the ones calling EV a lifelong fan. He calls himself that. And that's a fair point about hanging with black Jack. I think that was more a product of him playing in a band, liking pearl jam, and Ed being from Chicago. Despite the success of the Sox those years, Ed was the star in that relationship, and McDowell wanted to hang with the cool kids. I still never saw him at Comisky sporting gear, and the Sox were pretty damn good in that era - would've been easy to jump on that bandwagon.

he has said his favorite player was jose cardenal. he played in the 70s and Ed is around 50. i'd call that life long.

I also don't recall Ed telling stories of growing up going to sox games.

They've also done some charity stuff with Bronson Arroyo...does that make them Red Sox fans or Reds fans?

I like how you apparently have to have a scholarship to a 4 year school to be able to comment on baseball. Cueto is not a gimmick. - anyone who claims that about a guy who has the career stats Cueto has is not dealing with reality.
From baseball fans everywhere who didn't play in college - get over yourself. Your opinion is exactly that....your opinion.
Don't jump on someone else and try to belittle them for "never having played the game at a meaningful level."

Wow. Salty. Fuck Eddie... .. On this forum? No matter the outcome of the series, you're really just not as good of a team from top to bottom. And you got every borderline call until the 7th. Anyone can get lucky in a 5 game series. But you're not as good. Took a perfect game from your #2 to get in the ballpark. Btw - maybe the biggest bush league pitcher of all time. Congrats.
Cueto? bush league? please explain. :confounded:
Bush league. You obviously never played the game at any level worth mentioning. His motion and quick pitches say it all. Gimmick. Bush league. A guy that resorts to little league stuff for deception. Which is hilarious, considering you guys fell for the oldest trick in the book when Cueto squared to bunt and the runner got picked off at first.
Cubs have at least one pitcher who quick pitches, but I have not played at any level worth mentioning myself. fuck
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

Never said that anything about needing that. Simply responded to a person that wrongfully said I played at junior college, attempting to belittle me.

    Congrats on your Grail.
