I'm sure some people have heard of them. One of my friends mentioned them to me the other day and thought i might like them. Supposedly Dave Grohl is a fan and produced their first album and reportedly has played with them. They have a new album out called Meliora. Would be interesting to see them live. They are playing near me in Sept.

    They were suppose to play in philly on Sept. 26 (same weekend as the Pope visit), but had to reschedule the sold out date to Tuesday. I guess they released more tix cause i was able to get one today :smile:

    They changed the lead singer but have no way of knowing who it was, lol. I was wondering what happened to these guys.

    I kind of like this band. I especially like their cover of Here Comes the Sun. They aren't quite up my alley, but I appreciate that they are such a bizarre live act, and still sound good. If the price was right I'd definitely consider checking out their show.

    These guys are from my hometown, probably the most hyped band in Sweden atm. Saw them when they supported Foo Fighters a while back (the broken leg gig in Gothenburg). Meliora is by far their greatest record to date. If you like Alice in chains you should dig these guys. From the pinnacle to the pit reminds me of AiC-We die young. Also, Dave Grohl produced their cover EP If you have ghost.

    I only have their latest album which i got for free download when i bought their ticket. I'm hearing comparisons to Blue Oyster Cult though from a few people though. One more month til i see them :smile:

    yeah it was pretty awesome. said some things about the Pope visit. Live they were awesome! I enjoyed it a lot. I think they played all but 2 songs from Meloria.

    They say they changed singer...but it's really the same person lol.

    They just go by Ghost now and they're fucking awesome! I saw them open for Mastodon/Opeth in 2012 and had no clue who they were and didn't really pay attention. Checked out Meliora a few months back and was immediately hooked. Saw them last weekend at a festival here but unfortunately it was just a 30 minute set. The band did a meet and greet and Papa was really nice and stood up front greeting everyone. He told me they were returning for a headlining show in NC soon (then it was posted on fb that they would be returning soon). Can't wait to see a full show of them.
