So I just ordered a blemished complete moe lower and an upper without a bcg or charging handle from Palmetto State Armory for $427 shipped. Have an extra bcg and charging handle to through in there. Can't believe the deals you can get on PSA. A complete AR for under $500. Just throwing this out there for anyone in the market0

You in live in SC or just happened to come across the PSA site? Bought my XDS at one of the PSA locations in Columbia. They do have some good deals though. It took every ounce of restraint I had to not buy a second one - was looking at a .22 revolver to just plink around with.0

Im located in Indiana. Ive bought some stuff through them before online like magazines and other accessories. This is the first time I bought a firearm from them. Its real hard to find a negative review online or on youtube. Their prices are hard to beat.markymark550 said:You in live in SC or just happened to come across the PSA site? Interesting. I didn't realize they had that far a reach outside of SC. I think they're a 3 or 4 store operation in addition to the website. I guess if the deals are good enough, you'll be found.Stickman12 said:

As Floridians we must choose.Take the beach every time. You can always shoot out west in the sticks(I'm in Jupiter, and def cannot shoot at out beach, lol)Turtle cops will get ya.quickdudeman said:My last home in Michigan had a shooting range. Now I live in Florida. My new home doesn't have a range but my front yard is the Atlantic Ocean. I call that a decent trade.

I'm glad to accept the beach over the shooting range. There are plenty of nice, clean, air conditioned indoor ranges close to me. No snakes at those places!
I spent a lot of time in Jupiter over the past few years. We lived in Palm Beach Gardens until last year. It's a beautiful area but getting too crowded for us.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
No snakes would be a requirement for medudeman said:I'm glad to accept the beach over the shooting range. There are plenty of nice, clean, air conditioned indoor ranges close to me. No snakes at those places!

You guys don't like snakes? Just sounds like target practice to me!0

I don't have a huge fear of snakes or anything but I would rather not have one coiled around my legs while handling firearms.
There is an outfit that operates in the Everglades that hunts Burmese Pythons. You can fly around in a helicopter and shoot as many as you see. I'm not big on killing but it might be good for someone who likes to hunt.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
I had the opportunity to check out a Smith and Wesson 500 mag the other day. Unbelievable amount of muzzle blast and recoil. At $4.00-5.00 per round, I don't see myself ever owning one but it sure is impressive how much power they were able to pack into that design. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0

that's a sick gun! $4/5 a round?! wow.dudeman said:I had the opportunity to check out a Smith and Wesson 500 mag the other day. Unbelievable amount of muzzle blast and recoil. anybody have the stg .22 lr version? looking for feedback.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -
The STG .22 is interesting but certainly a novelty. Relatively expensive, heavy and marginally accurate, IME.
They got the look and feel right, though.
A friend of mine bought one when they first came out. His came in a reproduction wooden crate like the ones the real deal STG shipped in.
It would be cool to have if you're a collector or WWII weapon enthusiast. Not terribly practical in my world, though. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
yeah i'm a big ww2 guy. it's a void in my collection as it's pretty obvious that i'll never be able to own an authentic stg.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

oh and thanks for the comments dudeman! how sweet was it to fire?I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

Honestly, I wasn't terribly impressed. The ergonomics weren't great and accuracy was sub par compared to a basic Ruger 10/22.
It was reliable and well manufactured, though.
Admittedly, I'm hard to impress when it comes to guns. I'm all about the practical aspects as I just view guns as tools. I'm not a collector and have simple requirements for the guns I choose to own.
I find it interesting that companies are making modern reproductions of historic arms. I can definitely see the appeal for having a working replica of a rare or vintage gun that is able to be fired safely and that is chambered for an inexpensive caliber. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
Do any of you guys or girls have a recommendation for a 9mm carbine? I'm looking for something nicer than a Hi-Point but not as expensive as a 9mm-chambered AR.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0
-
A lot of people like the CZ Scorpion.dudeman said:Do any of you guys or girls have a recommendation for a 9mm carbine? I'm looking for something nicer than a Hi-Point but not as expensive as a 9mm-chambered AR.

I was thinking about the CZ, the H&K MP5, Sig MPX or Beretta Cx4.
Any experience or opinions on those. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
i have not shot any of these but have watched a lot of reviews. The CZ and the MPX consistently get good reviews0

Thanks. I'll see if I can find a range that rents them.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0
