Hoping they come out rocking from the start of their set. The Ride festival looked cool and chill, but it'll be better to end off Pemberton with a bang!

Well they'll be competing with The Killers so that should motivate them.

Breakerfall or In my Tree would be a good openers!

I'm hoping for Release but I'll take what I can get....

As long as they don't open with Small town I'm all good.
Last 2 of 3(Missoula/Van)have opened with Small town and It feel that's more of a middle set song like Betterman than an opener.

It's been a long time since I've gotten Release as an opener... I wouldn't complain at that either... last Vancouver show we got Oceans which was pretty epic.

Vancouver '05 is the only time I've heard Release, that would be nice to hear. Oceans was epic, as was In My Tree in '09. Of the Girl in Quebec was probably the best opener I've heard so far

Any of the above would be great as would Wash or Hard to Imagine. I like to think of these as absolute classic openers. Tearing into Corduroy for a blistering opening salvo would be great too.

PJ25 at Pemberton will be TJ20 for my wife and I! (T for Tanya and J for Jason)

20 years ago I got lucky and married the love of my life. When we first met in 1990 our music tastes were a little different, to say the least. I was a U2/Metallica/REM/Janes Addiction guy. She was more into Roxette, and New Kids on the Block. Thank god Pearl Jam came to be a year later and became the soundtrack to our lives. After we got married I have been lucky enough to have her by my side for Pearl Jam shows in Toronto, Vancouver, Pittsburgh, Saskatoon. Calgary. Cincinatti, Edmonton, Alpine Valley, Seattle and on Sunday Pemberton! Not too mention solo Ed, RNDM, Flight to Mars, Shadow, and Mad Season. She's my dancing queen, especially when Do the Evolution hits the speakers. I couldn't think of a better way to spend our 20th anniversary then in a gorgeous setting with our favourite band.

    Pemberton here we come!!!!

I called In my tree opener a few weeks ago. I've heard Release as an opener once in Italy and would love that again.
REALLY hoping they play Society since they played it last weekend.
Then again, who cares, it's Pearl Jam in the middle of mountains. They can play any song and I'll love it.
Let's hope the rain clouds do not appear at all!

I think depends on the age of the Millennials. I think they constitute anyone born from the mid 80's on, so the older ones would of been kids when the Seattle music scene was popular. Some of them must feel about Pearl Jam as I do about bands that were big when I was a kid (like my affinity for Guns N' Roses).

I wonder how much of a crowd PJ is going to have on a Sunday night where anyone under the age of 25 doesn't seem to have much of an interest watching them play?

Yes, the VIP area is WAY bigger! I was surprised and a bit disappointed. It will be tough to get the rail on Sunday. I'm sure they will have more each day but I got the 3rd last poster yesterday. It's gorgeous!!!!

Wolf Parade were really good but the highlight for me yesterday was Savages. One of the best live bands around right now. They had a pretty small but active crowd. Just amazing. I
