Lebron is still only 31. He's going to shatter all of Jordan's records. He already bests him in a number of categories (rebounds, assists) in four less seasons.
the ring thing is kind of a joke. Jordan was favored in every finals he played in, while lebron has been the underdog all but once. And Jordan couldn't even get to the finals until he had a completely loaded team (losing multiple times in the first round -- with your boy doug collins' help. haha). Jordan has lost in the first round three straight years, while lebron has never lost in round 1 and took the worst team ever to the finals in his second year (dummies hold this against him -- as if taking a team full of scrubs coached by mike brown to the finals and losing to an all time great team is a negative)
And only one of the two players has (had) the ability to win games with plays like the block on iguodala.
if you think jordan is better than it's because he won six finals in which he was favored and supposed to win. lebron has taken worse teams than jordans to six straight finals (7 total) and somehow managed to win three times. Jordan proved that he's not even capable of taking bad teams to the finals, let alone winning.
Jordan was great, but lebron is the best -- and he's not even done yet.0 -

A few days ago I laid out an extremely rational argument for why Jordan is still the greatest (winning twice as many titles was only a footnote) and I've seen nothing that disputes any of it. But I also left the door open for Lebron to match or surpass him at some point in the coming years, especially if they won on Sunday.

1990-1991 roster:
Jordan, Pippen, Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright and John Paxson as your starters. BJ Armstrong, Stacy King, Will Perdue, Cliff Levinston, Dennis Hopson, Craig Hodges, Scott Williams off the bench. Hardly loaded. Lots of average to below average there.

who had a better roster?0 -
Back on topic:
Will the Sixers make a trade on draft day/ night, to get another high pick this year? If so, who do you want?(Dunn, Murray, Buddy Heild? other?) or should they stand pat with they have, Noel & Okafor and picks 24 & 26? Still, have potential top picks in next years draft(which is SUPPOSE to be a deep/good draft).0 -
I think they definitely make a trade but I think it's going to be hard to get into the top 10. I imagine they end up with something between 12 and 20.cutz said:Back on topic:

of the players you mentioned Murray is by far my 1st choice of those. I think he is going be great. I also really like Jaylen Brown from Cal. I think he ends up being really good too.
Not a big fan of Dunn's. He scares me a bit because he has the skills and athleticism but every time i saw him just seemed to be something off. Always seemed to miss a lot of shots or be in foul trouble. Also to me seemed like he lost his footing a lot. always seemed off balance.
I think Hield is going to be Robert Covington. Will make some shots but I don't see much upside to him.
Not just because I saw every game he played for 3 years but I think someone will get a very nice player when they take Deandre Bembry. I think Bembry is going to be an Andre Igoudala type. Athleticism and floor game to be a very effective NBA player.0 -
jordan did it all with 1 team tho ... lebron left Cleveland the first time to go ring chasing and I guarantee you he wouldn't of gone back if kryie wasn't there and they didn't trade for love ...The Juggler said:

This off topic but this draft and the next is a key draft for the Celtics. I'm sure they've shopped players along with their third pick to the Sixers along with the rest of the league. The Sixers will get better after this draft and watch out for them in four years that's if Lebron is not STILL dominating the Eastern conference.

Per C Ford, Celtics best offer for 3 is Okafur straight up at this point. Would you do that if that's all it takes?
At this point, I kinda think I would (since they are operating under the assumption Joel is healthy) and would take Murray. Don't love Murray but I feel like he would mesh well with Ben offensively as he's one of the best shooters in draft and doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time. Wish he was a better defender though but I think he avg 15+ a game right off the bat.
You'd probably be getting like 80 cents on the dollar but would start putting a more cohesive team together which is now what they need to start doing, with still more high level assets coming next year.
Tonight's gonna be fun. Finally!www.myspace.com0 -
I'm sure it will be, I'm also interested as to what's going to happen. The Celtics are so lucky to get this third pick and have a chance to do something special with it. This draft tonight is a pivotal moment in both teams future accession. The Juggler said:Per C Ford, Celtics best offer for 3 is Okafur straight up at this point. I love Murray and if Sixers somehow get the 3rd pick from Boston he would be my pick. With Simmons you don't really need a traditional point because he should have the ball in his hands a lot. Murray would be a perfect compliment. The Juggler said:Per C Ford, Celtics best offer for 3 is Okafur straight up at this point. Would you do that if that's all it takes?

Still hoping for Isaiah Whitehead. I read that last year was the only year Murray hasn't played PG. I'd be happy with Dunn or Murray but would lean Murray. That's my nonprofessional opinion.Alright, alright, alright!
