"Eagles of Death Metal has regrettably been forced to cancel the remainder of their European tour due to founder Jesse Hughes tearing a tendon in his finger. Hughes has tried to play through the injury during the current tour, but doctors have advised that the only way to properly heal it is to stop playing now, or risk further injury and having to cancel several weeks worth of shows. Said Hughes: “I’m devastated that we cannot continue what has been a life-changing return to Europe, but I need to get repaired so we can continue to play rock music around this beautiful world, including coming back to Europe even stronger in the summer.” EODM will be cancelling the last eight shows of their current European run."

I think too the US/Canadian shows are safe.

how bad was the sound at the forum in particular for DFA? Saw DFA last year and it was much better

Sound was horrible for both bands.
But the fun factor was threw the roof!

Great energy for both bands and rough/engaging pit throughout.

Security were jerks and shitty sound left me not wanting to go back to the PNE.

Hope it's at the Commodore next time...

Security seems to be a joke at all Vancouver shows. One pearl jam show I got told to stay behind some imaginary line where my aisle seat was..
Anyways, that was my first time seeing EODM. Liked their show alot. Did you notice at the end the lead singer pointing his guitar at crowd and making a gun motion? Considering what happened in past, I was wondering if I saw that correctly

These guys are what getting me to Rock the Shores this year in Victoria.
They will be here on Victoria the weekend after Pemberton.
EODM are such a fun show definatley worth checking out.

    DFA was great too!
They played Sexy Results for the first time ever live.Sebastian was even saying how he hates the lyrics and that they probably won't play it again..

Took in EODM and DFA last night in Calgary. EODM was incredible! Super fun, high energy show and they sounded great! Wish they woulda played longer and played an encore.
The sound for DFA was terrible, night and day between the 2 bands. The first 2 songs were just a muffle of noise, Turn it Out was 3rd and you could tell the sound guys were trying to fix it but they lost a lot of Volume, could barely hear any vocals until halfway through the song. Crowd let out a cheer when you could actually hear Sebastien singing. Sound got a little better about 5 songs in but unfortunately it was a disappointment. Fortunately EODM were worth the price of admission alone.

Saw them on Friday. Fun/energetic show. They're pretty awesome live. Opening band was pretty much a female version of them  They were called Thelma and The Sleaze (although when they said their name i though they said thelma and the Sleeves). Pretty much a mixed selection off all their albums. Surprised they didn't play Cherry Cola though. Also I did get a guitar pick. Jesse was throwing them in the audience a lot during the show. I got one with Rip Taylor's face on it and Boot's name on the other side

They played yesterday at Shaky Knees. They were very good live. The lead singer threw his guitar into the crowd ........ They really ripped it up.

Saw them in Pittsburgh tonight, one of my favorite bands to see live. Always an incredibly entertaining show. Boots is a true rock star.

I saw them in Indy Friday night. Great show.

Thelma and the Sleeze were awesome as well. Their sound reminded me a little of Wolfmother.

I think I would change their name if I were them but they were awesome.

Are you talking about that outdoor stage at the PNE? If so, I consider that the worst venue in the city. I saw The National there, and the show for what is common considered one of the very best live shows out there was basically ruined by the shitty venue. And you're right, the security are jerks there; you can barwly breathe without them intervening. I will never go back.

I would find it really tough to go back.It should have been at the Commodore.

saw them again last night in philly. Fun/good show again. Jesse's a great lead singer always interacting with the crowd. Pretty much same set lists as previous show but he did play this song which was pretty cool (It's a cover from tommy boyce and bobby hart) but most people know it from Bewitched,
