By contrast, it made me focus on the behavior of the Sanders supporters, the anarchy, disruption to civil order, threatening of people, posting of address of Lange's grandchildren's fucking daycare. Are you fucking kidding me?
If someone cannot see how split the party is, then they are in total denial. I cannot count how many times I've heard Bernie supporters say "I will never vote for Hillary". My conclusion is that there are Bernie supporters and there are Democrats. They are not always one in the same as some assume. It is a little ironic how people were dissing "the opposition" about not having unity, boasting the love within the democratic and how well Clinton and Sanders were getting along and kissing each other's asses. Many Bernie supporters that I talk to hate Clinton as much as Trump...but saying that feeling is universal, but the sentiment definitely exists.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Not entirely true. Speaking for myself, I don't plan on voting for her.Gern Blansten said:

I stopped voting for the lesser of two evils last cycle.
I will also probably no longer be affiliated with the Democratic Party.0 -
pretty sure the prospects of a trump presidency will make nearly all bernie supporters vote hilary in swing states ...0

of course you're focused on Sanders supporters. You have been since day 1 with throwing your hate toward Sanders rather than behind whoever your choice candidate is.mrussel1 said:No, I'm not being difficult. You are being difficult, you likely didn't watch 2 videos of 1st hand eyewitness accounts of the NV caucus YET you will sit there and swear that everything is false unless it somehow blames Sanders and his supporters. Give it up already!!Post edited by Free on0 -

I for one am NOT voting for Hillary UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. No way can I for for someone I detest. What, to help defeat Trump? Nope, not even for that.
If Hillary is the best the Dems can come up with, then maybe we deserve Trump. If it comes to that, I'll focus on helping get the best congresspeople elected and keep voting for or against measures and propositions that come up.
But I haven't thrown in the towel with Bernie. Until he's out of it or wins it, I'm supporting Bernie."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

So when peaceful protesters get attacked it is the fault of the peaceful protesters??? Okay.Jason P said:Yeah.^^^ And where did this happen?
People looking for trouble found trouble. I don't want to defend the clown, but the left have got to get there shit together. 4 or 5 Midwest states may decide this election, and antics of violence that the left has instigated will swing critical votes to Trump. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. that's part of the problem of the primary season going on so long. people get exhausted, they get angry, they get hate. it divides the party when it drags too close to the convention, probably moreso than the actual election. the closer the primary, the more damage done to that particular party.
whoever wins the convention should choose the runner-up as their VP.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -
It is common sense that should be applied to multiple situations. If you go confront a large group in a disrespectful manner, be it Trump supporters, Eagles fans, Hells Angels, Pirates, etc, you are taking on a risk of getting pepper sprayed or your butt kicked.PJ_Soul said:

I'm not so sure. It's an interesting "anti establishment" time in politics and people in both political spectrums seem to be more interested in changing/protesting the status quo than supporting it. On top of what I said earlier, I also believe that many of the people supporting Bernie are only going to go vote of their man is there. I hate to lump them together, but both Bernie and Trump supporters stand pretty firmly in their beliefs and are not going to be willing to vote for party candidates that are perceived as election cheaters against their candidate of choice. I cannot perceive those pissed off people protesting and rallying against Clinton turning around and voting for her, even if Sanders concedes. You have the crowd that would "rather vote for Bernie over Clinton" and the crowd that are adamantly "Bernie or no one". Again, just a personal observation, but most I have talked to seem to be in the latter.Gern Blansten said:

I'm not arguing that the protesters were breaching the peace at the convention. I'm saying that they are taking it too far (some of his supporters) with everything that happened after the convention.Free said:

I honestly can't see it happening anyway. The animosity between Sanders and Clinton is getting worse with every primary he wins, and the latest disaster in NV (please watch the 2 videos I posted), with the DNC accusation of Sanders supporters being violent when they're merely getting angry w/ the DNC chairwoman cheating? The media bullshit?Gern Blansten said:

I doubt he supports his supporters voting for Clinton, if she's the candidate. This has become war, practically and it's not over yet.0 -
Peaceful protest is one of the most fundamental rights of Americans (or is supposed to be). This is FAR from the first time that I have seen people say the kind of thing you are saying, and every time I am just a bit more dismayed by how Americans seem to have turned their backs on this crucial right that plays a huge role in ensuring the rights and freedoms that Americans claim to cherish. But I'm starting to think that is more just a catch phrase than something they actually value.Jason P said:

I'd be worried about who Bernie would 'install' in the Supreme Court. Might be an overlooked area of concern, but a balanced Supreme Court isn't a terrible thing.www.cluthelee.com0

Throughout our history, there have been clashes between protesters and opposing parties. This is nothing new. The First Amendment violation happens when the government violates these rights. The most infamous example of course is Selma.PJ_Soul said:

Yeah, I know that. But that is completely besides the point. The point is that the protesters are being BLAMED for attacks against them, and the inference is that they shouldn't be protesting and that the violence is THEIR fault just because they are trying to peacefully protest. This appears to be a very common viewpoint that I find incredibly disturbing.mrussel1 said:

They weren't protesters. They were delegates. Are we talking about the NV caucus?0
