for the HBO show Vinyl. Cornell also has a song on there. and it's a generic sounding song too.PJ_Soul said:
I didn't even realize it was for a soundtrack. I thought it was a single from their new album. If it's only for a soundtrack, I take it back and will wait to hear something from the album!HughFreakingDillon said:
it is for a TV show. like Cornell, they have to dumb it down for the masses (Soundgarden admitted Live To Rise was written/arranged intentionally with a radio sound in mind). no big musical departures/risks are ever on soundtracks.PJ_Soul said:
That really doesn't make me feel better about it, lol. Still sounds like the same stuff, which doesn't work for a NEW album. Doesn't really matter when it was written IMO.BrainOfJHA said:
Maybe it was a leftover track from their first album.PJ_Soul said:Not liking the new song too much. It's not bad, it's just that it sounds the same as any given song from their first album. Is this band a one trick pony?
They are great live though.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

LOL Damn, I WISH I could claim that pun. Would have been at least slightly clever, lol. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Oh yeah, I forgot all about these guys, lol. They put on a great show, but I just haven't heard a peep out of them since I saw them in... 2014? 2015? (I do know I got just TRASHED at their show for some reason ... If they come again I will stay sober, lol). Cool they're releasing a new album - I hope it's good and that it isn't too similar to the first one (which was good - I just like variety from bands). That album teaser really doesn't reveal anything at all.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. someone posted on social media a while back that they noticed in a pic of the studio the band has posted that they had keyboards set up, so they might be altering their sound a bit. or it could mean nothing.PJ_Soul said:Oh yeah, I forgot all about these guys, lol. Tour dates announced....... I've been waiting a couple of years to see these guys (after a near miss opening for the Foos @ Fenway; I saw one of the only shows where Royal Blood DIDN'T open for them)
After all that waiting, I'm pretty happy to get a Friday night show only 15 minutes from my house...... can't wait.
Good luck to those going after tickets.

I ordered the cd today, after shipping it came out to $16 & change. (I would have preferred the vinyl, but shipping was insane)0

Will be going to 930 club, last show there was awesome...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0

I assume that's for the vinyl? Regardless, I agree. The shipping charges are insane.RobbyD462 said:They want 30 GBP for the album and 40 GBP for shipping lol
 $80 Canadian to ship?
 $140-$150 Canadian no thanks
I was surprised to see they didn't have a digital download option. I would have purchased that yesterday, and if the album's good, pursued a vinyl option down the road.
Regardless, I'm more excited just to finally have a chance to see them then I am for the new album.0

hope they come to Canada. had I known who they were at the time, i would have taken in the Pixies show when RB was opening. As sometimes happens, I find out a band played in my town yesterday that I discovered today.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

That happened to me w/ At the Drive In back in their prime. Closest they are coming to me is Lolla in Chicago. Noticed that they are in Cali on August 16 and then in Japan on the 19th. That's a crazy turnaround. It's a hopeless situation...0
