I did a search and didn't see anything but these guys seem like a kick ass band from the UK.

These guys are insane live. If you have the chance, take it cause you wont be disappointed. Got to see them at a 100+ place in gothenburg and they blew me away. Was the best gig at the festival, and I was there mainly to see Qotsa. One of the most awesome live experiences I've had for sure. Heard their new album today and I love it.

Wow, REALLY into Royal Blood right now. Whole album is amazing and I'm listening to it over and over. They're opening for the Pixies right now and I'm stoked to go see them on Monday. FYI for anyone that's liking Royal Blood, check out Death from above 1979. Very similar - 2 piece with the Bass that sounds like guitar, very good as well.

Couldn't agree more. Been enjoying Royal Blood for a few months now. But just checked out Death from Above 1979 - GREAT CD!

Awesome, glad you're liking it! Did you get the new album - physical world? Or the first album - you're a woman, I'm a machine? The new one is good but the first one is definitely my favourite of the 2.

love this band. sounds like a Black Keys/Deftones hybrid. Dave Grohl has proclaimed Royal Blood will save rock. Jeez, not too much pressure!

I thought it sounded a bit more like a Jack White/QOTSA hybrid, lol.
I really like this album a lot. Because it seems so easy to say it sounds like a mix of other artists I can't say they're super unique, but it's still an enjoyable album. :)

Jack White was the first thing that came to mind for me. Now seeing Dewie say Muse I totally agree with that hybrid call. Can't stop listening to them after Tuesday's show.

Yup. I heard a song on the radio the other day at thought it was Jack White (sounded exactly like him), but it turned out to be Royal Blood. I have heard good things about the band and am going to pick up the album. Can definitely see the European Muse influence with the as well.

Agree with PJ-Soul though, from what I have heard their sound isn't super unique

Maybe not the most unique sound ever, but I think it's impressive when you factor in there are only two guys making that noise! Also incredibly impressive live. That's what put them over the edge for me!

No denying their talent. I have watched some footage of them live and they sound great. The loud rocking two piece isn't really a new thing though. White Stripes and Early Black Keys come to mind. If JW openly criticizes the Keys for ripping him off I can't imagine what he will say about these guys. That being said I am sure I will like the album when I get a chance to listen to it in its entirety.

I thought the album was a really solid effort, I wish they'd expand their boundaries a little more more, though. Sometimes the album gets repetitive sound-wise, but it's a good listen for sure.

Agreed. I find the bands listed in this thread much better. It was pretty interesting to hear that Jimmy Page thought they were the bees knees however.

Just bought their album off iTunes. $9.99 here in Australia which is pretty cheap. Most albums here are around $16-20.

Boy they sound good. Dont buy many new acts. I also recently bought the Foo Fighters and Royal Blood is certainly getting my attention at the moment!

Saw Royal Blood open for the Pixies in the fall, amazing live act. I think they are going to get a lot of attention when they're opening for the Foo Fighters this summer, I've got my tickets for Calgary in August and I'm really looking forward to that show!
