You're right.. appears to be a minor league stadium. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Lauderdale_Stadium#/media/File:Fort_Lauderdale_Stadium.jpgluvspearljam said:
No it was some little venue. The place was all mud. They couldn't do the bigger venues without ticketmaster.mrussel1 said:
Right. Old Marlins stadium or Joe Robbie I suppose, at the time.luvspearljam said:
That was in Ft. Lauderdale Stadium, 1996 I think. I was there, it was during the Ticketmaster boycott. Getting tickets was a nightmare, but the show was great and Ben Harper opened for them.mrussel1 said:
He said it was 'in a baseball stadium'. So I think he meant the metro area. He knew they hadn't played in Miami proper for 20+ years.mcrok said:So Eddie was talking about Stone's guitar getting stolen and the wheelchair dude during RITFW. That was the 96 show in Ft Lauderdale. Is that what he said or did he think it was in Miami?

This was show 17 for me. The obvious highlight for me was seeing WMA and Tremor Christ. Those two songs were all I needed to have seen all of Vs and (the songs they actually play on) Vitalogy. So that really made my night. Also got Sad as another first. Along with the covers Good Woman, Comfortably Numb, and Soldier of Love. Also got my second ever Pilate, Down, and Sleeping By Myself. Got Dissident for the third time, but first time in 13 years, so that was cool. Definitely another show that reminds me why I love this band. You just never know what they are going to do any given night. Now I have 2 weeks to figure if I am gonna make the 3 hour drive to Lexington and make it 18!words seem so out of place.

a 3 hour drive is not that far - the only regrets I have are about the shows I didn't go to0

I hear ya! This tour worked out for me so far. On the leaked schedule before Jazz Fest was added, Lexington was on a Saturday, and that was the one show I was going to do. But then my wife wanted to go visit her sister in Miami, so I got two shows and a weekend in South Florida! Nothing wrong with that!buck502000 said:a 3 hour drive is not that far - the only regrets I have are about the shows I didn't go to

Don't know why people are complaining about songs played. The setlist was amazing in my opinion. I wish they would have played Deep from the previous show, or Oceans. I have been a Pearl Jam die hard fan since I first started listening to music. I am a young guy and this was my first PJ show and I was left euphoric. Maybe I'm just too emotionally attached to their music, since I spent my grade school years listening to them mainly, but I thought the show was flawless. That Comfortably Numb cover caught me so by surprise, it was amazing. I am very happy to have attended and the people who attended seemed like good people. Now I wait for the next opportunity to see them again.0

Left the Miami show, my 10th, knowing that it was my favorite show to date. Got a tattoo based on the poster to commemorate it.0

^^ Nice! Do you mind if we use some of these for the Blu Ray? I"m not sure what the theme will be for our art, but I imagine it will be Miami Vice in nature. Those pics would be great.0
