I'm actually surprised about some of the negative comments regarding the Miami show. I thought it was one of the best PJ shows I ever been to. The crowd was amazing, full of energy, and overall very friendly. I LOVED the setlist. It WAS rock and roll. Albeit, they didn't start off with the three slow songs (i.e., release, oceans, etc) like they have over the last couple years, but I think the high energy, rock and roll set is why the crowd was so amped up. The band fed off the crowd and they were clearly having a great time. I liked the transition to the mellow stuff in the second set. Sure, it was low(er) energy but it was nice to catch your breath. I can't wait until tonight. Bring it, Tampa!I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0

Our So Fla crowds did not disappoint.2 great shows,2 solid if not awesome set lists.Miami clearly the better of 2 really good nights. It was a "heavier, more hard rocking, show"if that makes sense.I love the quick hard starts. It just gets everyone fired up.C.Numb,SOLAT,WMA,Jeremy,Sad,Down,Tremor....... This is good shit.Deep and surrender the night before.Well done.
Out of the 15-20 shows I've been to,Miami crowd and energy are in top 3 for sure.0 -
Thanks for posting, Buck! Sounds great! You must be tall, I barely see anyone in front of you!!!0

Incredible. By far my favorite Daughter tag. I'll never forget the first time I heard it back at Jones Beach in 2000...didn't get it again until PJ20. I'm praying they bust it out again at MSG! I wasn't there, but this Miami set list is remarkable. Best band. Period.buck502000 said:Hope this makes your day OK

So Eddie was talking about Stone's guitar getting stolen and the wheelchair dude during RITFW. That was the 96 show in Ft Lauderdale. Is that what he said or did he think it was in Miami?96 - Ft Lauderdale

He said it was 'in a baseball stadium'. So I think he meant the metro area. He knew they hadn't played in Miami proper for 20+ years.mcrok said:So Eddie was talking about Stone's guitar getting stolen and the wheelchair dude during RITFW. Beautiful picks Suziemay! Would you mind if we used some of these for covers, song transitions, art, for the blu ray?Suziemay said:

That was in Ft. Lauderdale Stadium, 1996 I think. I was there, it was during the Ticketmaster boycott. Getting tickets was a nightmare, but the show was great and Ben Harper opened for them.mrussel1 said:

Right. Old Marlins stadium or Joe Robbie I suppose, at the time.luvspearljam said:

No it was some little venue. The place was all mud. They couldn't do the bigger venues without ticketmaster.mrussel1 said:
