Fantastic show last night. Ft. Laurderdale was let down in so many ways (aside from finally hearing Help Help live). The crowd was full of energy, compared to the sleepy crowd from the night before. And that run of It's OK/Sad/Down/Tremor Christ???? Wow!!! Would have been great to hear Rival, but Tremor Christ is such a rarity these days that it was an acceptable substitution for me.
Funny moment of the show for me was that the guy with "Christ" on his forehead clearly didn't know the song at all. His "Tremor" buddy was singing along to all the words while he sat there with a blank look on his face seemingly unaware of what was being played. lol
Here's to hoping that Tampa is as good as Miami was. Would love the return of the slow opener though. And let's get Rival back on the Tampa set list too

Great show - #43 for me so I think the only new song to check off was Comfortably Numb, which I've been really eager to hear, so that was great. I was in Sec 122 right behind Mike/Jeff in the corner near the front, which is a fun view but I had a hard time understanding Eddie talking - but the music sounded fine, as did the singing, which was kind of strange. Decent crowd in that area but you could tell the rest of the place was really high energy and that's what mattered. Much better crowd than Ft Laud.
Low light: the couple sitting next to me booked after the first encore, and this human disaster took over their seats. He looked like Sammy Haggar and had to be in his 50s, and was falling all over himself. At the very end, Matt and Boom left the stage through the tunnel right under us, and this jackass heaved a mostly full mixed drink right at them. The rest of us all looked at him mortified and he just yelled "they love it!!!! They love it!!!" What an asshole. He booked it up the stairs before anyone could stop him or do anything about it. Anyway, Matt & Boom, please don't let that asshole leave you with a sour taste of Miami or your neighbors to the rear for the show. The rest of us were well behaved and enjoyed ourselves immensely.Post edited by TresentPense on'98: 8/22

For me I view Fort Laudy and Miami as one full show. They were both great and had their moments. This band really knows what they are doing. Fort laudy was a sing along ballad type of evening. Miami was pure 90's rock and roll. Truly grateful to be at both these shows.
I don't understand the hatred towards to Sirens and Just Breathe. First of all Just Breathe is an instant classic. And sirens is growing on me live. They get the crowd involved. Just download the Leeds boot. They did it last night too.
Would have been nice to hear future days...0 -

I agree with you and enjoy all those songs. Also wish we would've gotten Oceans at one of the shows. I thought it was a definite after the song lyrics were on the FLL poster!Wishing said:For me I view Fort Laudy and Miami as one full show. They were both great and had their moments. I thought "Oceans" would be a slam dunk as well. Since show was so delayed in Miami first lyrics of Corduroy made sense thiugh--The time you enjoyed wasting was not a waste of time--0

Trying not to think about it but yes i've been anticipating oceans for the last 20 years. Still have not heard it live. Can't believe two south florida shows and no oceans.captainmuggsy said:

Both Ft. Lauderdale and Miami were great shows. In the 24 years I've been going to PJ shows I've never been disappointed. They have such great talent, energy, and heart. Long may they continue to play. Thanks as always to the band and ten club!Still Alive And Well In Miami

Miami for sure did not disappoint! I keep saying at every single show, that the people you meet are such a great part of seeing PJ. To Luke and Joe, to Jeff and Trevor, Ben, Kim and Candace and especially to Shawn...Thank you all for making a trip to Miami so wonderful.

I felt like they played everything on Ten except then tracks I wanted to hear (Deep and Oceans). Still a good show though.Wishing said:Trying not to think about it but yes i've been anticipating oceans for the last 20 years. Still have not heard it live. Im a little confused about the complaints of "repeats". Its not like thats something new. I honestly felt completely different. The setlist was a welcome surprise to me. The crowd was great too.Post edited by sherm onDetroit 03, Toronto 03, Toledo 04, Kitchener 05, London 05, Cleveland 06, Detroit 06, Cincinnati 06, Chicago 07, Mansfield 08, EV Chicago 08, East Troy 11, Pensacola 12, EV Jax 12, Wrigley 13, Pittsburgh 13, Dallas 13, OKC 13, Detroit 14, Ft Lauderdale 16, Miami 16, Tampa 16, Jax 16, Sea 180
