Leave the phone in your pocket 2016 Tour
try it out, its amazing... i'm leaving my phone in the hotel/car for every show... no need to update your social media existence for those 3 hours, try to enjoy your real world existence... then feel free to tell everyone about it later on social media
there is no need to film 75% of Jeremy from 40 rows back... there is no need to take blurry pics from half an arena away... there is no need to text your buddy and tell them that they just played your favorite song... seriously, he really doesn't give a shit....
you'll feel weird... you'll reach for it a few times... you may even panic once or twice when its not there... but its ok, everything will be alright, its a cleansing experience... and makes the event that much sweeter in the end

I support this 100%

I don't have social media, but I'll still sneak a couple pics from GA
I do try to be very aware of people around me by night raising my arms up in the air while trying to get a good pic. I know that can be quite irritating when your line of site to the stage is littered with 15-20 iPhone screens being held in the air for long periods of time. 0 -
This gets my support, except for the person relaying the setlists to Dimi.0

Being without a phone sucks if you lose a person or whatever else. I would never go to a show without one... that said, I also don't take it out of my purse during a show. MAYBE I'll remember to take it out for one photo, just to show people where my seat was. That's it. Otherwise it doesn't even occur to me. In fact, sometimes I later wish that I had taken a photo or two. But I also don't want to bug folks behind me.
I do find people holding their phones up in front of me very annoying and distracting. I like this message.

I dont watch the show through my phone, and think it is silly when others do, but if we all did away with it we would not have these awesome youtube multi-angle concerts to watch. For that reason I can live with knuckleheads watching the shows through their cameras....just try not to block the views of those around you.The love he receives is the love that is saved0

I was GA first time in St. Louis 2014 and my friend gave me shit I wasn't taking pics because she knew how much of a PJ nut I was so she snapped a couple pics when Ed came over and reached his hand out and I was RIGHT THERE (don't get me wrong she snapped 2 great ass pics)...but there is NO picture that could ever take away my mental imagery and real time experience I had that show...I just stood there and soaked it all in
Im all for the no phones pledge and rather live in the moment0 -

Lol, that is true. While I don't want people in front of me doing that, I want at least a few people doing it. I LOVE those multicam shows on youtube!! Only people who can actually do a good job should be doing it though.... which rules out 99% of the crowd. I have met some great people in the seats around me so I like to take pics with them before or after the show. As for during the show, I take all my pics during YL, I don't like that song but refuse to leave a PJ show early so that's when I take pics. Still live in the moment but a couple of momento pics. I also am forever grateful for the setlist relayers and all the video of the shows available on youtube.Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.0 -
