    I had a chance to ask him last year after a show. hung out for a while and he told me that he is writing songs. he said he was trying to decide if he wanted to be Roy Orbison or go in a noise(y) direction. i don't know what that means but typical Scott sarcasm probably. i believe he said he was still signed to Fat Possum. damn, i wish i had a better memory.

    it is amazing. it blew me away coming off Verbena breaking up. saw them many times in college and even did some merch for them. they were one of the loudest bands i ever heard. the solo stuff is really nice. what did you think of his newest album?
