Hi - Looking for 4 floor tickets to the first Wrigley show. Have Fenway tix to both shows...
  • Shit.
I did not know that. I am not looking for tix or going to the show.
I saw this article and thought it would be nice to pass it on.
    Sorry folks.

10C reserve seats are better than any seat available during the public sale, not matter what your seniority is...that's the benefit of scoring tix in the lottery!
Not true. While Tenclub has some awesome seats, if you have a high number like I do you could have done better if lucky on the sale today.

Yep I'm in the same boat. Tix will still be good though.

Good to know, I thought no matter what 10C tix you won they would be closer to the stage, or in a better section than any tix pulled in public sale. Thanks
caught a bolt 'a lightnin'...cursed the day he let it go...

Sounds like I am complaining cause I am not. I really do think tenclub did an awesome job securing some great seats for us.

My advice: if you are buying from Stub Hub or other reseller, don't wait. Conventional wisdom would say that tickets will come down in price as the show draws nearer, but not in the case of Wrigley in 2013. I thought about jumping on tickets that were in the $200 range early, but thought they would drop. Nope; the average and cheapest prices increased over the months. Even day of there was nothing under $300 a piece (or around there). So if you see some now for around $150, scoop them.

Otherwise, wait until day of and wait by Will Call. They will drop more tickets for face value, which is what happened for me in 2013. But not a ton of tickets, so don't wait for a line to form, start the line!

Day of show is always the best time to buy. Not only do more tickets get released, but scalpers get desperate.
Thanks for the advice! I have never scored tickets that get dropped on the day of the show before. Do you just constantly check the site for the drop?

Yeah I've seen drops any time from 9am right up until the show. Just keep checking throughout the day. The last Toronto show I didn't have tickets, was walking in the Eaton Center around noon and decided to go to the Apple Store and try my luck. I pulled floors. Just keep checking that day and worse comes to worse scalpers get desperate right before show time. I've got floors for less than retail that way.

I would check online(tickets.com/ticketmaster.com) early in the morning, the Monday before the show and every day in between. I have scored a GREAT seats to various concerts doing this, promoters only hold back quality seats (for insiders) then slowly drop them as the show approaches.
  • Looking to trade 2 field seats for Fenway 2 for 2 field seats to Fenway 1
    2013 Chicago: Wrigley Field
  • I wanted to go to the the 2013 shows in Chicago and couldn't score fan club or public tix. This time, I got reserved seating through the club for the show on the 22nd. If anyone has club tix for the 20th and wants to see the show on the 22nd, I'm willing to talk about sharing our tickets (as long as the wife doesn't mind not coming with me).
I tried already to get public sale tix and waited in the virtual waiting room until everything was gone in 10 mins. Of course, I don't know how the reseller sites have all these tix available before they're even on sale. Was there a presale? If so, I wish we were sent that code/link. Either way, I don't think it's worth the Canadian exchange rate to buy $300+ tickets in US dollars right now. It's tough times after the holidays already.
I wish the club would allow you to pick shows in one city and if you weren't drawn for that city, you could pick a secondary city for the draw.

You can pick a secondary city, but the people what wanted to attend your secondary city as their primary city get preference on the tickets. I think that's pretty fair.

The presale on tickets was for season ticket holders (quite often season ticket holders for professional sports teams get first crack at tickets for non-sporting events at the venue. kind of a perk for plunking download a boatload of cash on season tickets).

Good luck in your search. Might want to bookmark the Lost Dogs forum. Lots of people searching/trading for tickets in there.

I thought it was interesting how most of the season tickets were in the "C" sections. In back of the Ten Club tickets.

I've only heard a couple of people on the board who pulled A7. I know of handful of people who pulled the book ends in C for the presale. My buddy was in right away and we are about 8 rows back in C7.

    Yep
I've seen A1 & A7 (not very good, but still)
It'll be nice to be right down in front for Fenway for a change.
