Philly locals, we're looking at staying in Passyunk, appears to be just a few subway stops from the arena. Good idea/decent area? Thanks in advance for any input!
What the guy said above - awesome area. And I'm not just saying that because I live there.
Ideally, if you can find a place between Reed & Mifflin-ish (North-South boundary) and 11th & 13th (East-West) then you're golden.
Sounds like One Shot Coffee & Cafe is the place to be in Philly in April - sweets and coffee - Yay!
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird

I don't know about that. I purchased print-at-home so I was emailing them to find out what the deal was since they said it would take 24-48 hours from time of purchase to show up in an email.
Pretty sure for physical tickets it said if you don't receive your tickets within 24-48 hours of the show then to contact them.
Realized this fits into our vacation schedule so my spouse and I are traveling to these shows, need tickets though! Please pm me if anyone has extras pairs for each show. Ventured to Philly for the four Spectrum shows in 2009 and I look forward to visiting again this spring.

Depends how tall you are, I guess. I'm 5'6" and would always take lower bowl over floor.
124 ..tm floor seats will be no closer than 7 rows behind pit. that puts you at least half way back on floor. sec 124 is right next to stage and mikes side! you'll be close enough to watch mike shred!

Can I get a little bit of advice on neighborhoods for Airbnb?
The cheapest booking I found for Airbnb was in the Poplar neighborhood near the Union Transfer Concert Venue by Spring Garden and Ridge St. It looks like it's about a 5 block walk to the Spring Garden stop on the BSL line.
They claim the following of it's location:
-5 min walk from the orange/broad st metro line. -15 min walk to chinatown + Convention Center -10 min walk to Hahnemann hospital -20 walk to Temple university -20 min to Olde city -30 min walk to center city -30 walk to Ben Franklin parkway/kelly drive
Is this a decent area?
Am I going to have much trouble getting a cab or an Uber here if I want to get over to Center City or other attractions?
I'm leaning towards this one because frankly while it would be pleasant to stay in a NICE fancier home this is probably fine for me. They say it's a 1 bdrm private bathroom in the basement of the building basically and the reviews for it are that it's clean and well kept with a good host. I'm not going to be spending any time in it other then sleeping, so cheap is good IMO. As long as they will let me do late check in when my flight gets in and they don't care if I'm coming in late at night I'm happy.
I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

I'm bias towards South Philly, but, yeah, it's decent enough. I guess also depending on what your standard of "decent" is - just keep your head on a swivel late at night (then again, this can be said for any big city late at night; yes, getting a cab/uber from this location should be easy, along with getting to the subway.
You've got Silk City over that way, and the Trestle Inn - both solid spots.
But, like you said, if all you need is a bed, it'll do - you're just further away from the venue, but still in the general heart of the city.
We're using Airbnb in the Rittenhouse Square area. I've never been to Philly, can some locals clue me in on this area as far as neighborhood, food, drinks etc... Thanks in advance

Thanks. That's about the cheapest place to sleep option so far. I used to live in shittier parts of Chicago so I feel like I had a pretty good awareness for my surroundings and looking out for trouble.
Outside of Center City and Rittenhouse Square are there any other interesting neighborhoods you can recommend?
From what I'm reading Fish Park over by the Girard Station sounds kind of promising too and that's a bit cheaper then Center City listings.
In a way I kind of like the idea of staying someplace outside of Center City if that's where I'll be doing most of my sight seeing during the day. That way I can experience a different part of the city at night after the show too.

Around 17th and Wolf is nice. Girard Estates, Fishtown (ask where!!! and make them be specific as people are trying to expand the actual boundary for $$$), Rittenhouse (ask where), Northern Liberties, River Wards, Art Museum, East Passyunk.
Anybody else staying at holiday inn Philadelphia stadium?
I am but I think you knew that! lol...glad I booked ahead. prices are way up now but still available. Seems like they are tailgate friendly? Which is kind of weird. Is the parking lot really right there?
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

Oh yeah, the parking lot at the Wells Fargo center for a concert looks like game day at a football game. There will be grills and tents and all kinds of shenanigans. It's one huge complex that also includes the baseball field and football stadiums. It was literally built with tailgating in mind.

Thanks...we def plan on tailgating. I was curious about the proximity to the Holiday inn lot to the venue...I read in the hotel reviews the hotel itself is fine with tailgating!

Rittenhouse is more of the "ritzier" part of the city, located in Center City, so the food and drinks will be plentiful. But I'd say if you're not looking for upscale there's easily some middle of the road-to-divey for every upscale place. Plus, overall, Philly is very affordable compared to NYC, DC.
But just off the top of my head, there's a bunch of good stuff on Sansom between Broad and 20th - Federal Donuts, Oscar's, Dandelion, Shake Shack, Vic Sushi, Foodery, Luke's Lobster. Monk's, Tequila's, Jose Pistola's.... Oh, and Good Dog is probably my favorite for a bar & food; more swanky places to hang out - Parc, Rouge, a.kitchen+bar, and of course just hanging out in Rittenhouse Square - the actual square - is always a good time. Again, I could go on and on...
Thanks. That's about the cheapest place to sleep option so far. I used to live in shittier parts of Chicago so I feel like I had a pretty good awareness for my surroundings and looking out for trouble.

Like above, I could drone on and on. I don't know Fish Park? Fishtown? Girard Station is up there - easy to get on/off the EL/subway. So that's your Port Fishington (Port Richmond, Fishtown, Kensington area) - ya got Kung Fu Necktie right there, along with everything on Frankford Ave: Barcade, Frankford Hall, Johnny Brenda's. All this stuff would be close to you on Spring Garden, along with Silk City, The Fire, Ruba Room.
Neighborhoods I'm fond of though are south of South Street for the most part.
Sweet thing about Philly is it's totally walkable/doable - for all the interesting areas - pretty much in a weekend.
Bump. Still looking for a pair each night. Not picky on seat location.

You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
