My fiance and I went at this on a mission after yesterday's debacle. I got a pair on the turf in C5 for night 1 and she got a pair on the turf in A7 for night 2. Bummer for anyone who had a tough time. This game is definitely rigged.
I know its probably anyone's best guess but how do fan club seats compare to the ones available during the public sale? I got fan club for one show and decent seats (fenway) for the second. It's hard to wait until august to know where the seats will be!!! I know its a guess but what is the rule of thumb?
10C reserve seats are better than any seat available during the public sale, not matter what your seniority is...that's the benefit of scoring tix in the lottery!

Crazy system, I had to work and scored Fenway seats, I had my brother on four devices for Wrigley and got shut out on Night 1 (the only night I could make it). Anybody know the best strategy for Stubhub and other secondary resellers? Any advice on best times to buy?

Not true. While Tenclub has some awesome seats, if you have a high number like I do you could have done better if lucky on the sale today.

Day of show is always the best time to buy. Not only do more tickets get released, but scalpers get desperate.

That depends how you see things though... Is last row on the field better (public sale), or is first row lower level better(10c sale)? Is last row on the field better, or is first row upper level better?

Be patient and tickets will come up, especially 10C tickets as the show gets near. Most board users have done that with good luck

Thanks for the advice! I have never scored tickets that get dropped on the day of the show before. Do you just constantly check the site for the drop?
Yeah I've seen drops any time from 9am right up until the show. Just keep checking throughout the day. The last Toronto show I didn't have tickets, was walking in the Eaton Center around noon and decided to go to the Apple Store and try my luck. I pulled floors. Just keep checking that day and worse comes to worse scalpers get desperate right before show time. I've got floors for less than retail that way.

For Foo Foghters last year, they released floor seats the day before the show. Foo's Facebook page posted about it. I've seen Phish do the same: alert fans about a re release. Sox games at Fenway go the same way. Monster seats for big games getting released at face vale the day of. Scalping is here to stay, so at least use it to your advantage!

My advice: if you are buying from Stub Hub or other reseller, don't wait. Conventional wisdom would say that tickets will come down in price as the show draws nearer, but not in the case of Wrigley in 2013. I thought about jumping on tickets that were in the $200 range early, but thought they would drop. Nope; the average and cheapest prices increased over the months. Even day of there was nothing under $300 a piece (or around there). So if you see some now for around $150, scoop them.
Otherwise, wait until day of and wait by Will Call. They will drop more tickets for face value, which is what happened for me in 2013. But not a ton of tickets, so don't wait for a line to form, start the line!

I would check online(tickets.com/ticketmaster.com) early in the morning, the Monday before the show and every day in between. I have scored a GREAT seats to various concerts doing this, promoters only hold back quality seats (for insiders) then slowly drop them as the show approaches.
