Hate lines, agree! The love he receives is the love that is saved0

People wait in merch lines for 6+ hours? That's completely nuts. If that's actually the case, they should absolutely do some sort of pre-sale.0
-
Signed. Please do this! It would be one thing if they enforced limits (i.e. 1 poster per person, no exceptions) at the merch truck / venue, but to stand in line for hours to only be told the poster is sold out because of folks buying them up to hawk on ebay is enough to make people go insane!0
-
Signed...it really sucks worrying about damaging your poster while losing your mind to PJ live!!!0
-
I don't think it necessarily needs to be sold ahead of time, but have the option for a 10c member only, or 10c ticket holding guest only line having an item reserved for you. Good on you for firing off an email though!Leash_In_Hiding said:I'm all for this, I actually emailed 10c last week about it. Doesn't sound like they care to go along with this idea....
Hi Dave,
We do not sell tour merch on our site in advance of the show. The band likes to keep the tour merch special and specific to the live event as much as possible.

Also pertinent to this discussion is that Santos admitted on the old Rob/Tim Bierman radio show that the 2009 preorder negatively impacted the secondary market. Seemed like something they were concerned about.___________________________________________

To be fair on the band's side of the business, I bet all the people in line waiting for posters tend to buy a lot more merch in person than if we all could buy a poster in advance to avoid a line. Separate the posters from the rest of the merch and they probably sell less shirts/buttons/etc.0

Right, that's what I asked. A pre-sale option for 10c ticket winners. That was the response I got though...I can't justify waiting in line all day for merch. I've never been to Chicago and want to check out the cityMignelli14 said:

Then charge a premium of some sort for the poster presale. The lines at merch wouldn't be remotely as ridiculous and you might end up picking up a t-shirt or something else if you can walk right up at the show.tschav said:To be fair on the band's side of the business, I bet all the people in line waiting for posters tend to buy a lot more merch in person than if we all could buy a poster in advance to avoid a line. Once implemented, we'll see a petition about how to fix the long will call wait line.JimmyV said:

truth.BF89905 said:I'm willing to bet that the majority of people who complain about lining up for hours to pick up t-shirts, stickers, and artwork that often have no clear link to the actual city, will be right back there in line for hours when the tour starts up again.
Change will only occur when the fans stop lining up in a queue for hours for non essential items. Enjoy the music everyone
