The other great thing about no GA you can relax enjoy some sick tailgating and just get to your reserved seat at your leisure no fucking GA LIST and crap to deal with no lining up 30days before to get the sacred rail .....

Again... this makes no sense. You don't have to line up for GA if you don't want to.
Agreed, but I agree with je that I would prefer seats. no worries, lottery for rows 1, 2, 9, 10, and seniority throughout the rest of the seats. The seats act as a barrier so people can keep their spot, etc

There is no reason at all to line up for GA unless you want the rail though. So just about everyone in GA can go tailgating just like anyone else.
I know that, but you've heard the GA list stories and people lining up ....yes for the Rail
Yeah, I've seen it with my own eyes from the back of the line right before doors. Even back there those psychos made things annoying, lol!. But only for the few minutes it took for them to fuck off up to the rail, so that's fine. Those people disgust me, but I don't see them as any kind of reason to apply negativity to the concept of GA, which is a blast as far I'm concerned. I don't like feeling restricted by those chairs at all.

What is considered a low number these days?
Unscientifically..I would say sub 200k is decent. Low..maybe sub 125k? I guess we will see. I think there's another thread that has a small sample of everyone's number and year joined.

If there is a way to make things more difficult the powers that be in Boston will find it.

  • Love this Idea...Well done Ten Club

Not sure they had the option.
Agreed, I would bet this is Fenway's call, not Pearl Jam's.

The city that brought you a ban on Happy Hours at bars is back with their latest puritanical endeavor:

    NO GA AT FENWAY PARK

Foo's had GA at Wrigley and no GA at Fenway. I think it's a Fenway thing rather than a PJ thing.

Either way, the music sounds the same. Unless it's very windy. Then the sound is weird if you are further away.

I honestly couldn't care less about the lack of GA. It's just such a typically Boston thing to not allow. But that this band is playing this venue and that we are getting TWO shows...I don't even care where my seats are. I just want to be inside.

It may be a Fenway thing but I'm happy for the low number folks who will be able to get near front stage seats. Certainly not me and my 4xx,xxx but what the hell, 2 out of 25 isn't gonna hurt even the most ardent GA fan. And if it does, there's always Wrigley.
