Played Old Corkscrew in Estero, FL...... Jack Nicklaus designed coarse. Beautiful coarse, tricky elevations and super fast greens. wasn't cheap...$ 200 for the round. Saw a bunch of gators, deer, fox squirrels , bald eagles, & A raccoon stole my bag of pretzels from my cart while I was on the green putting.

Whats up with Racoons being out during the day in Florida? Up here in NY usually that means they are sick...down there they are out & about all day.

Was cool to see a PANTHER XING SIGN before entering the club....I'd love to see one, but I heard its rare.

I shot a 102....not great obviously but this is my 1st year of playing all the time. Was fitted for Nike Vapor Irons last year and have seen good improvement in my game.

I played 3 straight days doen there...was awesome. This winter in New York...we were playing twice a week prior to the blizzard. My friend is a member at a country club and we play at least twice a week....Bethpage State Park is a 4-5 minute walk from my house, I play there all the time.

This spring/summer I am going to be a sponge to learn how to improve even more....never thought Id love to play this much

This has been a crazy winter. The key is to get the snow to melt away. I'll be playing two rounds this weekend in Indy and it is February. Are you taking lessons? I'm trying to double down this year and practice at least three times a week plus a lesson. The lessons seem to be a two steps forward, one step back type of routine. It is helping a ton though.

No lessons...Its tough to squeeze them in at this point. But i'd like to. My drive is rock solid, I could add distance but I hit them straight. People I play with who are pretty good tell me I'm doing well there. My mid game is where I'm inconsistent. its getting better... S L O W L Y.

Nice. Sounds like we're kind of in the same boat. I started playing about a year and a half ago and am so addicted now. Our games sound similar too in that I drive pretty well and am decent, relatively speaking, around the greens. My problem is always that second shot with an iron. Right now I'm in the middle of a 5 lesson package at Golftec. One thing I learned that I was doing wrong this week with my irons is that I wasn't starting my down swing with my hips as much as I should and that lead to me being too vertical and kind of chopping down at that ball. One drill he has me doing is just putting my golf bag right next my left leg (I'm a righty) and just practice taking my backswing and then starting my downswing but making sure I bump into the bag. Want to feel like my hips are leaning towards the target...then the arms should come down and around more naturally.

Also widened my stance seems to have helped too.
