I got reserved seating for the Lexington show and booked the Hyatt right beside the venue. I can tell you one thing for sure is that the day after you have to eat breakfast at this place. I always stop their on my travels to Louisville from Parkersburg WV. The jalepeno cheesy grits are amazing.

Country Boy Brewing is between your hotel and the arena. Just saying.....

(It's not a very big or aesthetically pleasing place, but the beer is good and they have a small patio out back if the weather is nice.)

So where are we meeting up for drinks???
Congratulations everyone! As long as nothing changes Saul Good which is right by Rupp will have half price signature mixed drinks from 3-6. They have a hell of a strawberry old fashioned made with Bullitt Bourbon. Hopcat should have $3.50 Pints for the local beers and half price burgers 3-6 as well I believe. Both great places to eat and grab some pregame food.

I was planning on only staying one night, but I really want to check out the Red River Gorge and do some hiking. Looks like the scenery is really nice. Anyone else planning on checking this out ??. I might just have to come down over the weekend to extend my vacation, maybe check out Louisville on the way

My girlfriend and I both won reserved tickets. My first choice, her second choice. So, we'll have an extra pair, if anyone ends up needing tickets

I have an extra pair of reserved for sale, if anyone is looking. Face value, of course.

Is it worth the $200 to stay in the fancy hotel near the arena? I'm just wondering if that's a better deal than staying further away and dealing with driving and parking.

Springhil Suites is less than a mile away. I'm paying $180.34 taxes included. I looked at the Hyatt but it was $200 before taxes. I hope its a nice day to walk through town on my way to Rupp with a few pit stops at the local bars.

Thanks! That sounds like a better plan. As long as it's in walking distance, I'll be happy. Won't have to worry about getting a little tipsy at the show.
