    Seated would be better for sure. But then there would be no chance to have my wife, little guy or both next to us. You gotta believe when I say this would be a pinnacle event to share with either, for my own memories for sure....maybe theirs too. Actually, I have answered my own question. It happens, but responsibly. we stay at the back where it is safer and he could see.

    Too young. Get a sitter and have a nice adult night out. You'll need to stock up on em' when she hits the lovely 24 months stage. Trust me.

    I think 10 year old is old enough to go.
    depends on his maturity but I know that I would've appreciated it when I was that age.

    No, they should definitely not bring an 18 month old into the event at all. I guess it just goes to show how limited and valuable these shows are to fans....consider some far fetched stuff man.

    I agree. 10 isn't too young for the show, but too young for the pit. He wouldn't be able to see anything in the pit anyhow, unless you're willing to carry a 10 year old on your shoulders all night and block the view of everyone behind you, lol.

    Most 10 year olds I know wouldn't want to go see a crusty old band like Pearl Jam. 10 Seconds of Summer maybe. That's where us parent's with little ones are all inching closer towards every year! Disney on Ice, and the next big 'thing'.

    18 months definitely too young. If it was an outdoor amphitheater type setup with GA/lawn seats, maybe then you can get away with it where there's room to roam a little, but for an indoor one, forget it since it'll be miserable for you and kid.

    Sure, but there ARE younger kids out there who are into rock and PJ. Not all kids like the same things. And a 10 year old is obviously old enough to express his or her opinion on the matter. Plus, maybe parents want to share the experience with their kids. Nothing wrong with that, as long as they are old enough to appreciate it and not be an annoyance to people near them.

    Ive only been in the Buffalo 2013 pit. But it seemed like there was ten or fifteen feet of widely dispersed room at the back to get 4'-6" angle of view going. Seating would be best for just we two of course.

    I brought my daughter to two PJ shows show when she was in my wife's womb, but I'm not sure she had a good time, and I think she'd enjoy it even less now.

    Honest answer is I think 18 months is way too young. Not only for your own enjoyment, because she'll likely not care about the concert and want your attention most of the time, but even with headphones on their little ears are very sensitive and could get damaged quite easily if she took them off randomly/frequently throughout a three hour show.

    It's nice in theory but won't be fun for anybody in practice IMO.

    Took my 8 year old to 2 shows in Amsterdam- I felt more safe inside the Ziggo Dome as compared to the street outside. :)

    why shouldn't I go, I love pearl jam. I never have been to a concert and my dad said a month or so ago he would bring me and he didn't. so stop crying that I shouldn't go and let me have fun and your hearing this from a 10 year old!!! or I'll split your lip.

    That's intense Buck. I don't think I'll ever base travel around Pearl Jam with a family. What's fun for me isn't always fun for all. Not trying to be some high and mighty parent here. Just sharing my feelings about it. There are some that pull it off well and good for them. The more I think about it, I think I'm moving away from my intense love of Pearl Jam a little more every month. Who knows.
