    Second Beacon Show Announced

    Due to popular demand, a second New York City show has been added at The Beacon Theater. The new date on March 28th will be the final show on Natalie's Paradise Is There tour.

    Just saw Natalie at the Beacon, I think it's the last show on tour? She sounds amazing.

    Was surprised to see that Gabriel Gordon wasn't playing this tour. I loved Gabriel's harmonies with Natalie.

    Ended up knowing someone with an extra (free!) ticket for VA, so saw near-Philly and near DC as well last night.
    Both shows were great, but the beautiful gardens and gorgeous night of the PA show seemed like it should have been the better overall show.  But as Ms. Merchant herself mentioned, the crowd seemed really sleepy, as if they'd been out too late the 4th of July and were low energy.  The setlist was really good that night, but overall last night in VA was far far better in so many ways.  Despite the lawn folks getting totally rained on in the beginning.  Better setlist plus a little "requests" section during which she did bits of "Like the Weather", all of "What's the Matter Here", and a bit of another song that I"m blanking on.  

    She opened with Verdi Cries which may be my all time favorite song of hers, so that was awesome (it closed the main set the night before I think).  She also mixed the slower songs and faster songs better last night overall.  And energy wise she really got into her groove by the end and was twirling and running and spinning all over the stage by the last few songs, which is always great to see.  Plus lots of great Spanish dancing throughout.

    Very very good shows!  When is your show?  Oh tomorrow night!  Enjoy!!!  Report back!
