This year, I’m giving thanks to all the selfless heroes who are caring for us during this dreadful pandemic. Montefiore Hospital was the hardest hit in NY State...
With Gratitude and Hope,
Natalie
Starting in the spring of 2020, every evening at 7:00PM, New Yorkers clapped, cheered and banged pots and pans in support of the healthcare workers fighting to save lives. This holiday season, in tribute to their bravery and resilience, Montefiore Health System brought together the Orchestra of the Bronx, Every Voice Choirs, Brooklyn United Music and Arts Program, and New Yorkers to show our gratitude to the healthcare heroes saving New York. Gratitude forever.
I am so excited to announce that I'll be releasing a new album and touring in 2023!
Keep Your Courage will be released on April 14, 2023, an album full of lush arrangements and special guests. The subject matter is as diverse as the music, songs of love and loss, of hope and despair inspired by: a Greek myth, a heroic poet, a saint, a Biblical parable, a sea-faring rogue, a diabolical angel, a dark chapter of Irish history, the goddess of passion, and a generation of women who changed the world.
I’ll be performing throughout the US (and UK/Europe TBA) with my band and string quartet, and occasionally a full orchestra!
Folks who order early through Natalie's store will receive limited edition red vinyl (while supplies last). Preorder through the Natalie Merchant store, Nonesuch Records, or Bandcamp to receive access to an exclusive virtual pre-release event. More details at point of purchase.
Presale tickets for the Keep Your Courage Tour are available Wednesday at 10am local time. Public on sale Friday at 10am local.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”

We went to Bath last Summer when we went to the shows at Hyde Park. What a cool little city, we had lunch and a couple of drinks at The Raven pub. Loved it and would love to go back again sometime.
"Come on, Aphrodite" is an invocation to the goddess of love and passion. In the lyrics, I list all the clichés we use to describe falling in love: being drunk and blind, over the moon, weak in the knees, and half out of our minds. For the Greeks, when the spirit of love descended, it was seen as a kind of assault; you would become powerless against an all-consuming, sweet madness. Amazingly, humans still crave it, in spite of the perils.” -Natalie
The beautiful new video for "Come On, Aphrodite" by Matthew Shattuck featuring the incredible Abena Koomson Davis is out now.
New band + string quartet shows have been added in the UK & Europe! Tickets are on sale March 24 at 10am local, please visit nataliemerchant.com or the links below.

Hi Pap, sorry, didn't see your question before. I think I'm shooting for Philly first, then maybe a NYC show? Where do you live and is she coming near you?

Oh cool! I live in the south coast of UK so London, and Bath would be convenient, but I've no idea if I'm still going to be here after this summer. So, I have to wait before booking my tickets...
