RIP Bowie

I'm just speechless right now...

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

You were one of a kind and one of my music heroes (no pun intended) since I finally got into your albums a decade ago. Seems like only yesterday that I was a little 2 year old first hearing him singing Let's Dance on MTV. Good actor as well in Into The Night, Labyrinth, Man Who Fell To Earth, Last Temptation and Prestige.

    RIP Ziggy.

There were rumors that he was sick. But he kept it private. I heard it was cancer.

They won't say what type of cancer...

My heart goes out to Iman, and his kids.

Was just yesterday talking to a friend who was watching "The Man Who Fell to Earth" for the first time last night. I told him my friend it's one of my favorite movies (and a great trippy book by Walter Tevis) and how amazing Bowie is in it. This same friend messaged me this evening and broke the news to me. Heavy heart tonight.

Just bought his new album- prices already starting to skyrocket on some sites.

    A very sad day.

I grew up with Bowie's music. I had all his 70's albums on vinyl (some I had to buy twice, I played them so often) and now have many on CD and MP3. I still love his music and feel lucky that it's been a part of my life. I owe my eclectic taste in music to Bowie.

His music and influence will live on.

What a huge loss. I've been listening to his music as long as I can remember.
So very sad, RIP Thin White Duke
