    1. Jason Isbell -- Something More Than Free
    2. Alabama Shakes -- Sound & Color
    3. Glen Hansard -- Didn't He Ramble
    4. My Morning Jacket -- The Waterfall
    5. Chris Stapleton -- Traveller
    6. The Wood Brothers -- Paradise
    7. Ryan Adams -- 1989
    8. Leon Bridges -- Coming Home
    9. Wilco -- Star Wars
    10. Kendrick Lamar -- To Pimp A Butterfly
+1. Phil Cook -- Southland Mission

    Biggest letdowns:
    Dr. Dre -- Compton
Gary Clark Jr. -- Sonny Boy Slim

Just tapping into that probably woulda charted:
    Kurt Vile -- B'lieve I'm Going Down....
Circles Around The Sun -- Interludes for the Dead

Creating the list makes me realize my ear for new music tilted a lot less to the indie side than years past. The consistency of other albums on folks' charts (I'm looking at you Courtney Barnett, Django Django, Deerhunter, Tame Impala) is proof I gotta lot more listening to do :bring_it::smiley:

It seems Americans love Courtney Barnett more than Aussies. A lot of people shoot her down.

Really? That's sad because she's amazing. I listen to JJJ and they only have good things to say about Courtney. I was impressed to see how many people have her in their top albums of 2015.

I haven't heard of the vast majority of the bands in the OP.

Was the new Third Eye Blind album 2015? I liked that one a lot. I've had Dopamine stuck in my head all day.

Kendrick Lamar had hands down the album of the year and may have dethroned illmatic with the greatest hip hop album ever made.

Jamie xx - in colour (instant classic to my ears

of Montreal - aureate gloom (kevin barnes has yet to release an album that doesnt make my year end list. Im biased.)

Aside from that, quite a few albums I enjoyed, but nothing struck me as having the staying power of those three.

I liked wilco, mmj, dr. dre, lupe fiasco, jason isbell and sufjan stevens. Probably forgetting a few.
