Creating the list makes me realize my ear for new music tilted a lot less to the indie side than years past. The consistency of other albums on folks' charts (I'm looking at you Courtney Barnett, Django Django, Deerhunter, Tame Impala) is proof I gotta lot more listening to do

Jamie xx - in colour (instant classic to my ears
of Montreal - aureate gloom (kevin barnes has yet to release an album that doesnt make my year end list. Im biased.)
Aside from that, quite a few albums I enjoyed, but nothing struck me as having the staying power of those three.
I liked wilco, mmj, dr. dre, lupe fiasco, jason isbell and sufjan stevens. Probably forgetting a few.
