On the Dutch radio (3FM) they spoke with the promotor of the Pinkpop festival. He said he wasn't aware of any deal for a performance at the festival. (for what it's worth)

    Speaking about PJ or what?

Something I always wondered, what determines the amount Pearl Jam gets paid for let's say the Wells Fargo Center in Philly? Do they get a flat fee to play no matter how many people show up or do they get a portion of each ticket sold? (18,000 x $25/ticket=$450,000) Or do they get a combination?

What I've read is that it's actually a combination of both a fixed and variable fee. Gross revenue is the ticket sales, of which they give some piece of to the promoter on a per ticket basis. There is also the venue cost, which is generally a flat fee so whether it is half full or sold out, MSG gets the same amount. Of course this is all general and for any given act various things can be tweeked and have various riders (for example, MSG could say the fee is X but after 85% is sold, we get another $2 per ticket). I'm pretty sure anything is negotiable but naturally there are standards. It's what I've read and definitely NOT from first hand knowledge so take it FWIW.

They probably make the most money off the merch, I've heard that before with other bands too
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Does this thread reach 200 pages today? What's the betting line?

In the meantime, after years of takedown notices, Prince allowed the release of a 2008 performance covering Radiohead's Creep:

He wouldn't confirm it would he lol.
That's making an announcement about his festival on national radio without the necessary announcement razzmatazz and band confirmation.
He's made it very clear often enough that he tries for them every year.
We'll find out when they announce I guess

Well at least some of it must be per ticket, as the Vitology Foundation gets 2$ per tic, right?

Contacted a rep from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and she confirmed Pearl Jam but no exact dates stating "They haven't confirmed all the information with us at this time"...this also goes with the people stating in this thread about a delay in the announcement for whatever reason

leads me to believe the announcement wouldn't be until January

What are the chances the band had that KY venue put that billboard up to get some viral publicity?

Perhaps the announcement is the 11th?
