Mulder and Scully have aged, lol.

    So have I........ :(

They're both still hot imo. Then again I actually watched all 300 seasons of Californication so my opinion isn't really to be trusted

Ok so I'm on Season 6 at the moment and of course half way through this season they pretty much blow the whole central story arc wide open over two episodes in which they wipe out the whole syndicate barring Cancer Man, who then murders his son in the final scene of the second episode.

We then proceed to return to regular episodes with absolutely no mention of any of this. Was this not a rather bizarre approach to take? Not to mention my general confusion over the role of the alien rebels and what exactly their purpose was...

*^^^they did that a lot. No continuity. That always bugged me.

It's frustrating because they did such a good job of building the story and drawing us in so that we were hooked on any episode connected to that central story. Then they just blew it apart!

Yeah, that was one of the major problems with the show. That and it went on far too long. I'm glad it's coming back though. This time they shouldn't have a problem with continuity or going too long since it's only about six episodes, lol.

Krajcek better be coming back, was always fond of him despite his undoubtedly selfish and despicable motives and actions :p

Yeah, that would be cool if they brought him back. I also hope they show a little of Annabeth Gish's character and Robert Patrick's character.

I'm rewatching the series and am currently on season 2, episode 2.

That shit gave me nightmares for weeks. That was the one with the three brother/sons or whatever in the creepy ass house?

I don't even remember most of the individual episodes - yet I remember that. Creepy!

I wasn't keen on that one at all! I'm up to Season 7 episode 6 or so now, sadly I've discovered that it went rapidly downhill after season 5...

that be the one. networks banned that episode because it was so fucked up. so if you ever do see that repeated episode you are lucky or rented/bought it on amazon or what have you. great story line inspired from the biography of charlie chaplin. look it up 'x files episode - home - director's take on it or whatever. good stuff

Yes, I saw all 6. I liked them. I guess some of it was off on the science , but from a scyfy point of view I thought it was great writing and acting :)

I loved the X-files when it was on back in the day. The first movie was awesome too. I think I was generally disappointed in the show's return episodes. I figured, all this time for Chris Carter to come up with some awesome stories...not so much.
I also think that since the show has been on, there have been so many quality shows that have come out on networks like HBO, Showtime, AMC, etc. where watching the latest X-files episodes makes it seem cheap and silly.
If it comes back I'll watch it, but I don't see too much to get excited about.

Ok so I finally got round to watching the new ones (I wanted to watch the whole thing from the beginning first). Sadly disappointed. With only 6 episodes I kind of expected them all to focus on the familiar central story arc but instead we had 4 regular episodes and 2 that made a fairly poor attempt at dealing with the old mythology. Maybe it would have been better leaving it as it was :disappointed:
