There is only one real way to fix an economy. Lower taxes to everyone. If you continue to tax people to death they have no disposable income. Without disposable income they don't buy things. If they don't buy things there is little job creation. Not everything is for sale or expendable to the almighty dollar. The current Alberta is evidence of that.
The CBC has been a valid and very pro-active place for Canadian artists to be showcased. Has been managed properly, probably not but a waste of money is a very long stretch. They have also been the most unbiased news outlet in Canada. Most of the reason Harper wants them shut down is to shut them the hell up. Lose the public funding, lose the accountability to the public as a whole. You end up reporting as per your bosses preferences.
The government cannot employ everyone (or pay them to do nothing).
Social programs cost money... Simple as that. Including the CBC. If an artist was good enough, they wouldn't need the CBC to "showcase" them.
CBC should be a simple news and information station for our nations outposts (and anyone else who will listen) do you know how much Peter Mansbridge pulls in? That's taxpayers money.0 -

Obviously I know how many seats each party has. That is simply not how your dumb "majority" comments come off, and I don't believe that's how you mean it either. You are using the word as a catch phrase as though it's some attempt to fool people into thinking the Conservatives were the choice of the majority of Canadians, and that is absolutely not the case, and YOU know it. Are you serious? Why would anyone not have the "balls" to say what they wanted to say to Harper? It's not like he's intimidating. I know that if I came face to face with him I'd have a LOT to say, and I wouldn't hold back. Why would I?? I don't tend to throw away opportunities. he was not voted for by the majority of canadians. a majority is defined as more than half. he got 39% of the 61% who turned out to vote. so 24% of the country voted for him.
he got the most number of votes of the 5 candidates, which is called a plurality.

That is absolutely not how you are phrasing it when you throw in your "majority" catch-phrase. I think you know it. Anyway, it's not a big deal. It's just annoying to see you repeatedly say that Harper rules with a majority when he in fact rules with a minority of Canadians' votes, because we ALL know what that suggests when you say that unless you give it specific context.
