Here's an interesting take on the situation. I suspect if the Pope had known Kim's true story, he might not have met with her.

Still spewing hate towards a good woman.

She's not a beach like you say. She was doing gods work, many others agree. There's a reason she's now free and back at work.. Because she didn't break a single law.

Still say she's braver than mlk
You are right, there is a reason she's now free and back to work. That is because she agreed to stay out of the way of people legally getting married. She actually did violate a court order, and was rightly jailed for contempt of court. She's out now because she agreed that she wouldn't obstruct the other clerks from carrying out their duties. She was doing god's work? Perhaps she should have been doing the work for which she was hired/elected. If she wants to do god's work full time then she should quit her public job and become a full time missionary or evangelist.

How dare you bring reason and the law into this, jeff.

PS to Enkidu - I was reading the linked article and an Ultimate Sex Guide via Esquire ad popped up. I shall continue my perusal of said article - later from home =)

She is a raving lunatic of a megalomaniac and she isn't even in the same orbit as MLK and you should seriously be ashamed of yourself for stating that. At no time is she in danger of severe beatings/death because of a struggle to bring civil rights to people. She is using her biased bigotry to try and remove them. She is about as brave as the guy who shot MLK.

Still have not been answered by a particular poster. I guess it takes being a "bully" to elicit a response. Maybe I should go post in the victim thread.

    No shit.

I guess her faith isn't that strong if she's willing to compromise her values.

Oh yeah... she's really ugly too.

Your attempts to troll are weak. You're only saying she's really ugly to bait me. Should be considered bullying. I don't go out of my way to simply insult you. Please don't do the same. I ask and ask but never am given any respect.

Looks like the pope agreed with Davis until the pc police showed up.

You really think you're something don't you?

I truly don't think of you at all. If I was bullying you I'd be calling you ugly.

Are you Kim Davis? If you are then my apologies. If not... stop hassling me: I'm entitled to my view of this woman in light of her bigoted, self righteous behaviour.

Good for the pope, but she's still going to burn in hell for breaking her oath to uphold the law, which was sworn to -- guess who? -- some dude named God. And I've read in some book called the Holy Bible that He tends to be an unforgivable and wrathful dick when it comes to little whoopsies like this.

Duplicity and double-speak. The Vatican showed true colors by meeting with her and then backtracked due to the backlash. The Vatican PR team had to put in some overtime to try to work its way out from under this fuck up.

Destroyer by the Kinks kinks kicks ass!

Even if KD didn't have that hair thing going I would (and do) still find her ugly due to her character and actions. If another develops sympathy pains over that, so be it.

(This overuse of the term "bullying" might want to be re-thought...just a thought.)

how do you know she's a "good woman" as you keep stating? don't blast those for saying she's not because they don't know her, and turn around and do the same.

the statement I quoted disgusts me to no end.
