the global citizens announcement was pretty clear......the only US date of 2015. I want them to tour Canada, but I'd love it to be on a normal new album touring cycle.

I stand corrected. Didn't notice that part. My bad.
MSG is open October 27, 2015 now that The Who cancelled all dates of their tour. Maybe one last warmup before South America.
I'd be down for October 27, round 2! In my experience, pretty awesome day for a concert!
But just looking forward to the prospect of shows. Been hearing rumblings about next year. Hope it's true, and hope I can make at least a show. Colbert & GCF has got me really itching for tour time!

That's interesting. Pearl Jam hasn't played shows in North America in the winter during those months in a long time.
They usually announce North American shows three months prior to the tour. Personally, I doubt they announce anything until after South America. There would be a lot of angry Americans who are traveling to SA thinking there would be no shows until at least the second half of 2016.

New album next summer, prob around August. Tour starting on the east coast, prob 2 weeks of shows. Then off to our friends up north for 2 weeks of shows heading towards the west. Then San Diego up to Seattle with some stops in Arizona, LA and possibly northern Cali. Mark your calendars.
Source or guess?
0% chance of new album by August
Yea I don't see that happening either. Fall 2016 or spring 2017 is my guess. Whatever, I just want another tour!
My guess is for October 2017.
I bet PJ doesn't tour in October for as long as the Cubs are a serious contender.
I'd rather they get in the studio on January 2nd, 2016 and start working on a new record. Get that done, then tour.

I don't believe they've EVER played January. Very few February dates.
As far as the people travelling to South America, their loss. Don't assume anything, yet assume it all.
Busy 2016 could mean a lot. I'm guessing multiple US dates with ... at least, a very solid news feed of a new album for 2017.
I wouldn't mind another spring USA tour similar to 2010 in prep for a late 2016 album release.

The Fl shows will be in March/Early April and not at normal Tampa/West Palm venues so I'm told BBandT center in Ft Lauderdale& Okeechobee fest are the 2 venues I am aware of with another north in the state.
I'm over here wishing Pearl Jam could plan a 2016 Canadian Tour. Which includes 4 Pearl Jam shows in Atlantic Canada. A show in Moncton, New Brunswick. A show in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A show in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. And a show in St. John's, Newfoundland.
The band has never played the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island. It would be AWESOME if they did.
Some guy on FB posted that he talked to Bierman and the word is this: "Busy 2016, but the rumored PJ25 @ Gorge won't be a thing."
I remember 10c sending an email out in January 2008 stating it would be a busy year and that turned out to mean 12 Pearl Jam shows (and two EV solo legs). I think they had a fall tour in the works that year centered around ACL that got scrapped. My point being, sometimes they plan to be busy and things don't pan out.
Nice to see some rumours starting already though. If they're going to be touring cities that didn't get Lightning Bolt shows, hopefully that means Canada is in the mix for 2016.

To be fair, 12 shows plus two EV tour legs *is* a busy year under the "new" method post-2003. I think a lot of people still hold out hope for a 2000/2003 era tour when we all know that's not gonna happen. In 2008, I could see why a lot of people would have thought a "busy" year would have meant 40+ shows.

Are those venues far enough away from each other? Would a festival allow a traditional show that close?

I actually think 2006 had the most shows in the band's history...

I am so with you on this, right after they hit up Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal, Quebec City and I guess we will have to throw TO in there as well. I'm currently trying to will it into being for May.

I believe they are. The festival is actually closer to Tampa and Orlando so the band's probably won't be allowed to play those cities but the Miami area would be allowed. Okeechobee Fest will be run by the same organization that runs Bonnaroo. The fest takes place March 4-6.

Based on these rumours, I'd be surprised if they play both the festival March 4-6 and Miami (someone posted BB&T late march or early April). One, it doesn't make a lot of sense geographically to loop around to Florida to start and end a tour. Two, the tours are rarely longer than three weeks now. If the tour starts March 4, I doubt the last show is much past March 25.

Agree. I wonder when that festival will announce? If there is anything coming, we know we wont hear about it from the ten club till last minute. I think with their upcoming SA tour, and the idea of competing with Xmas dollars, an announcement would either be later than normal (January?) or earlier than normal, like this month. Speculation is all we have for now i guess.

I think they are far enough away. Tampa and Orlando are actually closer so I think the festival would prevent bands from playing those cities but probably not the Miami area.

Based on logistics I'd expect the Florida dates to be either the beginning of the tour or the end. I'd bet on the beginning of the tour and the rest of the tour running into late march/Early April.
