If brady 'wins' based on procedural crossing t's and dotting lower case j's it doesn't matter. The average person with half a brain sees it's fairly obvious and the nfl had no motivation to attack new england and brady. It's silly

Juggler makes an absolute valid point. I'm not a Patriots fan and I agree whole-heartedly. This story is still completely ridiculous and the fact that they've dragged it along for 7 months makes it even more so. I mean honestly, if it wasn't 4-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady, would anyone care as much? Answer to that is no. If it was Wilson, Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, Alex Smith, or anyone else... nobody would be so vehemently against them as they are with Brady. Again, how this became a 7-month saga and the Cris Carter thing just gets swept under the rug like it's no big deal is just simply shocking! Air pressure in footballs being slightly under vs. a guy telling draftees how to break the law and get away with it. Come on, now! Roger Goodell is a fucking joke. He abuses his "power" whatever that is, he is inconsistent in his penalties, and makes stupid non-stories into stories to keep the real issues hidden away. He is a fucking joke and his entire league is a fucking joke. End of story.Cliffy6745 said:

I wonder if RG3 would have stood a chance if drafted by a team like Jacksonville?Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

Probably not. He's not a good qb. He was over hyped and Washington fell for it. The read option was a gimmick play that lasted one year in the nfl. Just like the wildcat. When NFL defenses figure it out, it's over. So when the league said it was ok to hit the qb even if they handed the ball off, the read option was dead in the nfl.Jason P said:I wonder if RG3 would have stood a chance if drafted by a team like Jacksonville?

the injury killed him and then he came back too soon the next year. he's never been the same since and now it has just gone totally sour in Washington. i wouldn't say it was all scheme. he has(had) some skills.Last-12-Exit said:

Hmmm. Probably right about it being a gimmick. The Colts avoided making two very bad picks (although I think Manning and Luck were no-brainers and the debate was just media hype on RG3 and what's his name)Last-12-Exit said:

Yep...it was good for a year then every team figured out that you just need to keep him in the pocket. Keep him in the pocket and he's just not that good. The Redskins are a mess.Last-12-Exit said:

If I'm RG3, I'm doing this move at the very next practice to collect $16M next year ...

Think again, the NFL WILL appeal. It's a 40 page report that damns the NFL. I do agree it was the dumbest controversy in NFL HISTORY.The Juggler said:aaaaaaand, the dumbest controversy in sports history has come to an end.

I was going to say nothing but after reading that this has nothing to do with Tom Brady's involvement and more their ability to apply suspensions, this changes a ton of things. All suspensions outside of the CBA have to be called into question now.g under p said:http://www.wfmz.com/news/deflategate-decision-looms-for-tom-brady-and-the-nfl/35075660

Should Peterson, Rice and the likes sue the NFL now? I think I would0 -
I think they might as well. Basically it seems that outside of the CBA- the NFL has zero power now to do anything. The right judge might even overturn things tin the CBA.Cliffy6745 said:
