Would this be allowed? A simple answer is all I'm looking for. No need to criticize. I'm at work and will explain in detail later.

That could raise a ton of money. Do it.

Should disclose that I would only raise what I paid in the aftermarket. So it would be limited in entries and capped at the amount raised.

If you're looking to sell it you're better off naming your asking price and dealing with a single individual. Asking a significant amount of people to start sending you raffle payments via Paypal is just asking for trouble with Paypal. You can't run a raffle with Paypal and you're liable for the funds with chargebacks. Just not worth the headache on your part.

Might think about if you get lots of interest, don't stop at what you paid for it but offer extra above to charity, ie OYR.

Great idea, honestly. You get your market value, and some lucky person out of, say, 35 gets a Benny for next to nothing. And I like the above idea of going beyond the cap and giving the extra to OYR!

    This, careful with paypal.

Never heard of a raffle done through go fund me, it may be a good option, there's a cap on how much you can collect.

Beginning to sound like more hassle than it's worth. Anyone with experience running some of these other raffles care to share how they are conducted? As it stands now, I'm thinking 20 entries at $100 each which covers everything including a generous donation to OYR. I really liked that suggestion!

    so $5 per entry?
I thought for a second there that you said $100 per entry, and I was all

I don't think it's much trouble. Just take the money via friends and family on paypal, say that they must give their forum name when they send the funds, and keep a list of it all. Easy peazy. :)

One or two payments won't trigger a warning; however, numerous payments as "friends & family" for the same amount will cause the account to be flagged and likely suspended while Paypal investigates. Paypal's rules are very specific and they hold all the cards.

Make sure no one types the word "raffle" anywhere, at all, no exceptions when they make the payment. That'll really raise the red flag in PayPal heaven.
