    I watched that one day when I was home sick. What a spectacularly awful movie. Pretty funny even without MST3K.

    Roger, I saw her live right before she hit the big time. It was a very strange gig at The Edge in Orlando -- strange because she was opening up for Peter Murphy -- of all people!

    So, we've got all the punk/goth kids there to see Peter Murphy (of which I was one), and then some teenage girl comes out and starts yodeling fer chrissakes! I mean, WTF!?!

    And then more strangeness: Everyone who showed up early to that concert and saw Jewel was completely enthralled by her performance, and she got wild applause for her range of talent.

    I knew right after that show that she would be huge. I mean, if she could command the attention, respect and adoration of a bunch of punk/goth kids, who couldn't she reach?

    And I'm sure that I was not the only black-clad, Doc-shod audience member to go find her debut record over the next few days.
