Tori Amos hugged me AND dedicated a song to me ("Danny Boy") at one of her Tampa shows in 1994.

    Mad crush back then.

Belinda Carlisle was my first crush period. I was 7 when I saw the I Get Weak video on MTV and thought she looked so angelic.

Right now, the closest would beGrace Potter but I'm not crazy about her or anything like that. Then again, there are very few now anyways since girls want to make Radio Disney pop crap now instead of rock.

More recent girl crushes: Janelle Monae, and I would say Lorde but she's like 18 so not crushing on her, but profound respect for her talent and outspoken-ness.

And once, long ago I was walking in NYC and saw a woman walking towards me who looked familiar... I was so focused on trying to think where I knew her from that I didn't realize she was looking at me too, then we passed and I turned around and she turned around and we grinned at each other... only then did I realize it was Joan Jett! Hey, like I said, I'm a *mostly* boy-focused girl ;)

Oh! Good call on Janelle Monae!!!

And once again, Joan Jett ❤️

    Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles)
    Nina Gordon (Veruca Salt)
Agreed. Though I'll change Nina to Louise Post

Oh and my favorite is Norah Jones.

I'm guessing he means he'd be remembering his night with her from a hospital bed the next day... cuz Alison Mosshart is a very physical performer... The Kills are intense in the best way (or they were the last time I saw them, more than 10 yrs ago)...

Courtney is a total trainwreck, but I probably had a girlcrush on Hole's bass player Melissa Auf Der Maur for the "Live Through This" period. She ooozed complete rock sexy coolness.

That said, those Hole shows then were great. Courtney was definitely a performer. I fought over a tattered doll she threw out during Doll Parts, I was so consumed in the show. Didn't get the damn doll either, dammit. Clearly not over it.... ;)

I dunno, I haven't heard that whole album, but I'm an insanely big Jeff Buckley fan. When I heard she'd covered his "Last Goodbye" I cringed horribly... then I heard it... I'm one of the toughest critics on Buckley stuff there is, but I felt her interpretation was actually quite good! So if that song is on that album, I wouldn't say it's not good. And yes, she's a good crush, ever since Ghost World (is that what one of her first movies is called?)
