I feel like it is very common for people to talk about their male "rockstar" crushes. There are threads like "Pictures where Eddie looks hot" and so on. I think its time to give the sexy female rockers in our lives a shout out. My top two ladies in rock are Kim Deal and Kim Gordon. Who are you crushing on?

Joan Jett is also a goddess.
1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California

M.I.A. for sure, she's amazing in so many ways... "Arular" is still one of my go-to albums when I need a boost.
I once met Brody Dalle when she was still in the Distillers, and she was super nice and said I smelled good... I almost proposed to her right there. She is a major girl-crush too (and now she's with Josh Homme, so exceptional taste in men as well )
Girl crushes from the past: Natalie Merchant, and Sinead O'Connor.
More recent girl crushes: Janelle Monae, and I would say Lorde but she's like 18 so not crushing on her, but profound respect for her talent and outspoken-ness.
And once, long ago I was walking in NYC and saw a woman walking towards me who looked familiar... I was so focused on trying to think where I knew her from that I didn't realize she was looking at me too, then we passed and I turned around and she turned around and we grinned at each other... only then did I realize it was Joan Jett! Hey, like I said, I'm a *mostly* boy-focused girl

Chick bass players named Kim rock my world.
Kay Hanley (Letters to Cleo)
Nina Gordon (Veruca Salt)
Juanita Stein (Howling Bells)
And even though they're jazz musicians and not rock stars, Diana Krall and Melody Gardot are fuckin sexy as hell!
