Really good. I am going to have a look on the inside soon. It appears there were some environmental pollution. I.E. Smoke from various things. Needs a good cleaning. :)

Found a 1st pressing of the INXS - Kick CD (SRC-01) for only $1. Great album and it sounds REALLY good.

Also, a 1st pressing of Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits CD (DIDP-20244) for $1.45.

Two great albums that sound GREAT for $2.45.

On Sautrday, I went to Rhino Records in Claremont, where I grew up, and got Springsteen Live 75-85 for only $14.99. Also got a Rush (Power Windows era) sticker as well to go along with the Dead Kennedys one on my laptop.

Rhino is across the street from the folk music shop Ben Harper's relatives own.

Men at Work - Business As Usual (2nd Generation DADC pressing (DIDP 020021)) - .99 cents

and to honor James Horner - Titanic (Music From The Motion Picture) - .99 cents

All 4 for $9, pretty good day.

Actually not that rare and can be had for 5-6 bucks on Discogs - sounds nice though, Talking Heads are creeping toward a top ten band for me.....:)

Goodwill again, a stack about 7 inches high of pristine early and mid seventies Deutsche Grammophon classical LPs, and box sets. Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, and others. Some London ffrr and Mercury Golden Imports stereo represses from the same time frame, in the same perfect condition, as well. At a pretty liberal 50 cents a piece, (including the 8 lp box sets, each counting as ONE record) I spent about 11 dollars. And I got an over sized suitcase, too.

    Got this today for .25
Thought it would be cool to listen to Mahalia on an original 78. This is a 1951 release on the Apollo label.

My husband came home and said, "I went to this record store and they had a bunch of PJ vinyl."

    "What did they have?" :prayer:

    "I'm not sure."

"Then why did you tell me?" :perturbed:

"Well, I"m not certain if they were bootlegs or not and my luck with buying vinyl is bad." (So very true. The poor kid can't seem to catch a break. I seem to do fine so far. Everything he buys, which is mostly new, is severely damaged.)

So he bought me nothing and brought home very little information except for Into the Wild. (Um, yes please.) A hot pile of nothing. :frowning:

I happened to pass by a Rough Trade the other day (didn't know we even had those in the US) so we went in to kill some time. They had a used UK pressing of Van Morrison's 2 disk Too Late to Stop Now live album for $25. I did not buy it.

    I am an idiot.

Scored Bruce & E-Street: Live 1975-1985 for $12.97! Box was a little beat up, but the LP's looked good. 5 LP's for that price, not bad!

In the past year, I've picked up the Pixies' Doolittle and Bossanova on CD for 50 cents each. I'm impressed at the dynamic range of both albums and how far from brickwalled each is. Any of the alternative bands putting out CDs these days should go back and listen to these albums to see how it should be done.

When I listen to the Pixies, I hear the blueprint for the early part of the 90s.

Totally agree, that is why I have become some engrossed in finding early 80's pressings on CD. So much better than any remaster or new CD usually.
