Good luck Whispering.Sending good thoughts your way.

Wouldn't numbness be more associated with blood flow then side effect of high Blood sugar? Or maybe both are related.
Ill have a talk with my little brother today,he's been a diabetic since he was a little kid and I think he may have had a bout of the same some time back.I think maybe they messed with his thyroid.I just don't remember the details.

Diabetes causes neuropathy in the extremities, most often the feet. High blood sugar damages the nerve tissue.
Back trouble (disc compression and whatnots) is also a common culprit for numbness in the foots.

Back issues I did know. And I'm aware of the feet issue with diabetics.just the numb thing is what Inwas talking about but I guess if there is nerve damage that makes sense.

Yeah the scary thing is, nerve damage is irreparable, and thus permanent. I'll let you know what the doc says..
The one thing most frustrating about the Nueropathy, is dropping things, cause I can't feel my fingers.. So I have been limited to the plastic coffee cups in the morning..

What could be better news than a lost dog found again, especially one who has been chillin' out on the bus?

Nice! I love stories like that. The first book I ever bough with my own money was Sheila Burnford's The Incredible Journey.

More good news here. The good citizens of Rhodes saved dozens of migrants when their boat hit rocks and foundered, including one man who apparently saved up to 20 on his own.

The migrant/refugee problem in Europe is really disastrous!
There are so many people dying while hoping for a better life, it´s undescribable. We have to do something against the people who buy them like brute (getting rich from their money) and know they can all easily die on the ocean. These guys are all murderers and must get stopped.
All the great people on the coasts and ships who try to help them could not save all of these lifes.

We have a refugee here at our community who is waiting since one year to finally find acceptance to stay and bring his young woman and baby to Germany. He´s from Syria and if he returns to help his wife and sister he will get killed! He´s so desponded that he is thinking about going back to protect his family. They hacked his fathers hands for trying to protect the family and his son from getting stolen for serving in the war. Now his sister is very ill, his brother is seriously hurt (made it to Turkey). Just one story... He is a young teacher in his land, speaks 5 languages and is very nice! So sad he still feels unwelcome by the state after all he has got through.
We need to stopp this disasters!

Thanks for your thoughts, kce8. I probably should have said that the whole situation that leads to the migrants is, of course, terrible and not a good thing, but that I found that specific example of a community doing their best for these people to be positive.

Well, you are so right oftenreading. You should have done nothing different!
All you said was great but now I realize I turned it into bad news.
That wasn´t my intent. Sorry for that I just said what came to mind.
This should have been only about the good news!!!
And yes, all these good people are doing amazing jobs and that is so good to know!

Maybe that´s not my day... lol

It's just hilarious how certain parts of the personality are so perfectly captured.

(not to mention how much I love those big dog-noses)

I'll support anything that helps dogs - and cats - to be rescued, especially these "difficult to adopt" types.

Whether the total number of kids saved is exaggerated or not, still a pretty remarkable dude to give blood for 60 years.

We are officially out of draught in Texas. Grass and trees are green, lakes are full. Tons of frogs and other critters thriving.

Callen you live in Texas? That must be rough! I'm glad to see y'all getting rain, the flooding sucks big time, but long term it's a very good thing.
