Here's a poster for four concerts Neil did in early 2014.
I'd say the man walks the walk.

Just announced with Promise of Real and Band of Horses near Detroit July 14! Hell of a line up, but have to save some $ on shows, and both my bf and I have seen both NY and BoH multiple times. Might sit this one out and wait til both bands come play a theater again...but then again we might not be able to help ourselves and end up springing for some lawn seats!

Never seen NY before but have always wanted to, so I got tix for my dad and I to go see them in Camden with band of horses opening. Should be a great show, quite excited, but $185 for pit tix is steeeeeep. May be a one time thing to see him

I'm also going to to the Camden show. Should be an interesting one. Im anticipating that we are going to get a lot of the new album and a few classics to please the crowd.

I'm thinking about that Groupon too, although $25 now. I've been wanting to see BoH, and Neil would just be gravy. But I'm leaning toward stub hubbing closer to show date

I have heard from here and there that Neil isn't really performing well anymore. That his vocals just don't sound good anymore (heard the same about Bob Dylan). Is this not true? I had heard the same being said kind of widely about Gordon Downie of the Tragically Hip, but then I saw them and it sounded great, so I don't know what to believe anymore. But it matters to me... because if Neil Young (or Bob Dylan for that matter) sound relatively bad now live, I'd rather not see them, because I don't want that kind of memory of them.... Any opinions from people who have seen NY in the past couple of years would be appreciated. :)

I've seen Neil 6 times, in several different band settings, the most recent being last January when he was playing solo. His voice was amazing. I've seen lots of aging rock stars struggle on stage, but have never seen Neil struggle to hit a note. I agree that Neil's prices can be astronomical, but I've never felt like I didn't get my money's worth after a Neil Young concert.
