We are playing both sides now with regards to ISIS and Yemen. The US helped bomb Tikrit Iraq where Iran went after ISIS and we are providing arms to Suadi with their fight in Yemen. Iran supports the Huthi (spelling) in Yemen. What a tangled web we weave, but in the US we care about a pizza place hypothetically not catering a gay wedding.

If they served more pizza in the middle east, maybe we would care more.

I wonder if there is a correlation to countries that eat lots of pizza and economic stability?

    hmmm ....
You do know the Greeks invented the pizza. Now how's that for economic stability?
    Not according to Wiki:

Pizza is an oven-baked flat bread generally topped with tomato sauce and cheese. It is commonly supplemented with a selection of meats, vegetables and condiments. The term was first recorded in AD 997, in a Latin manuscript from Gaeta in Lazio, Central Italy.[1] The modern pizza was invented in Naples, Italy, and the dish and its variants have since become popular in many areas of the world.

The Greeks are a bunch of posers.
Shit, I just googled it. I've gotten Egypt and Greece or ancient babylon. Interesting.

Isn't Florida being eaten by snakes?

No Halifax, all media nonsense.Sure we have Pythons that can eat gators whole, and water moccasins as thick as navy ships rope and lots of coral snakes and rattlers. But I'd be more concerned with Texas and southwest for those big fuckin Rattke snakes.
We do now have a python hunt every year out in the Everglades. The real damage is what they are doing to our ecosystems balance.

Houthis hate AQAP and ISIS. They are supported by Iran while the Saudis and Egyptians support the previous Yemeni president, who has since fled to Egypt. Houthis are an offshoot of Shi'ia, which Iran is predominately made up of, as is Iraq. Saudi Arabia and Egypt are predominately Sunni, also what AQAP and ISIS are made up of, albeit an extreme and by no means mainstream version of Islam. Yemen is also majority Sunni, hence the Saudi and Egyptian support for the previous president.

    A tangled web indeed.

Well some things are still easy to see. all the above hate the west and the Jews.So they do have that in common.Maybe they can build toward peace with those concepts as a starting point.

I get actual pleasure from news of those snake people getting bitten. I love seeing people suffer from their own arrogance (don't mistake arrogance for stupidity! ... of course, some people have both).

    Amazing isn't it?
I care more about gay rights in this country more than I care about anything that happens in Iran, or isreal, or yemen. What happens over there does not effect me.

    No
I would have lost money on that.

Ah, let's get this straight, they, the Arabs/Muslims don't hate "Jews". They may hate Israel for their treatment of the both Christian/Muslims Palestinians, but they don't hate Jews. I'm a Muslim and I actually, ready for this, have Jewish friends. Amazing how that in the real world, we can get along.

Well that's obvious. I was making a statement cuz it sounded like he was saying all Muslims hate America and the Jews. Which is, no offense rr, pretty weak when someone posted all those "facts". And let's just say that they did, can you blame them? Just like I'm sure there are a lot of people who hate Muslims for what happened on that September day. What I'm getting at is that there's plenty of fucken hate everywhere. Both sides.

And what about a 1/2 Buddhist 1/2 Christian transvestite republican black woman do you think he/she hates a Mormon police officer wearing a Rush Limbaugh tshirt?

Easy, easy. I'm not as smart as I think you am. But convoluting things further is that Iranians are Persian and not Arab. Hence, along with the religious differences, the great deal of mistrust from all sides. A very complicated onion with many layers that Middle East.
I agree Halifax is not that smart. ;) , but neither am I . Sometimes I just wish I could get lost in a bottle of Makers and my glass piece and forget the world has problems.

I'm with ya. Every now and then I just completely tune out to what is going on in the world. Shouldn't worry about what you can't control and all the shit going on has little relevance to my everyday existence. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. Live and let live. Bottoms up!

Yeah let's just say fuck it to discrimination cause there are other issues.
