Pretty sure if PJ only plays a handful or less of North American dates, they can sell out Vanderbilt's stadium. Or it will be 90% full....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -

**cough cough** HOUSTON **cough cough**Rumors have been floating around Nashville about them playing Vanderbilt football stadium this summer. Only a handful of bands have ever played there.... I could see this happening.
I think PJ have neglected the south for far to long to sell out a stadium that size without the support of the rest of a festival... but maybe they can prove me wrong... been wanting to visit nashville... dying to see a show at the ryman... it's on my bucket list... probably should have gone for the wilco shows last year... definitely should have went for the raconteurs in 2011... still kicking myself about that one...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -
Nashville?!? Football stadium?!?
I personally don't see this happening.0 -

Not comparing vandy stadium to wrigley at all, but not only did they sell out wrigley; it was the fastest sellout in wrigley history.
Totally agree on Ryman. That place is incredible. I've seen tons of shows there. I thought about doing a crowd funded show there but never got it off the ground. My biggest struggle was trying to come up with an estimate to repair the roof- knowing mike would blow the f'ing thing off.0 -
I mean if the nashville show was the only us show of the year maybe but otherwise, no way they fill that place. I hope pj proves me wrong.

Come to Chicago? IM IN!!
But that would be it for me. I'm not traveling for any shows. Not in the near future.
This year its going to be fishing trips, Florida vacation, maybe a couple of Cubs games, maybe Mexico late in the year. I have taken a break from shows before(08-2011 I think?), and this year is another one of those years. Not buying any concert tickets this year. So I guess I will just have to come here, and watch all of you ruin the whole concert experience, by bitching about lotteries, whining about GA, begging for tickets, and basically acting like 3 year olds.
HeheheheheheheheheTake me piece by piece.....

where is this Vandy rumor coming from? i assume it would hold 50,000+ for a concert... maybe they totally skip the festival circuit this year and do a few larger regional shows on their own?
Canada makes sense... would also love a 4-5 show run at Red Rocks, which we all know is coming one of these years0 -

I'm kind of 100% in the same boat as Speedy. I just hope they play a set at Lollapalooza this summer and that's it. After the amazing Moline and Milwaukee shows last fall... I'm good for 2015.
But a closing set at Lolla would have my money. I just don't see the band returning to Wrigley anytime soon.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.0 -

They will be around in 2016 or 2017.
Im not worried about it.
But yeah, if they were to play Lolla, or Alpine in 2015? Sure, I would be there.

Playing Nashville at a stadium that U2 and DMB has sold out in the past 5 years is not out of the question at all and actually makes a ton of sense. You would be able to get 45k+ and it is in a city that is very close to a lot of major cities that get left out of a lot of tours. Not to mention it is an easy city to fly to. They know if they don't play a ton of shows and announce one like this people from all over would come. Nashville hosts the largest US music festival each year (CMA fest) and the second largest is right down the road (Roo). It's also been 12 years since there has been a show in Nashville!Nashville '00

Yeah, never makes sense skipping Nashville.. All bias aside... Nashville is 2-3 hours to Birmingham, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Louisville, Memphis, and Lexington. 3-4 hours from Atlanta, St. Louis, and Cincinnati.
Let's end the 12 year wait!!Nashville '00

lets look at it since 2010 ( USA dates only )
2010 dates New Orleans-- Kansas city-St. Louis--Columbus--Indy--Cleveland--Buffalo--Bristow Va.
Hartford--Boston--Newark--N.Y.--N.Y. ( covers a few Midwest and a few of the east )
2011 dates-- East Troy--East Troy ( covers very little )
2012 dates -- Philly--Pensacola--Atlanta--Missoula ( covers very little )
2013 dates-- Chicago--Pittsburgh--Buffalo--Worcester--Worcester--Brooklyn--Brooklyn--Philly--Philly--Hartford--Baltimore--Charlottesville--Charlotte--New Orleans--Dallas--O.K.C.--Phoenix--
San Diego--La.--La.--Oakland--Portland--Spokane--Seattle (covers northeast , some south and
west coast )
2014 dates -- Cincinnati--St.Louis--Austin--Tulsa--Lincoln--Austin--Memphis--Detroit--Moline--
St. Paul--Milwaukee--Denver (covers a lot of Midwest )
and so since we're not getting the major huge tours anymore since 03 and only getting these small 12 or so city tours
my thinking is for 2015 USA only
Houston + 2
Nashville
Florida shows +3
Albuquerque
Vegas +2
Salt Lake
Boise
Missoula
The Gorge +2
I know everybody I'm an idiot-- crazy-- moron and shithead
but these cities have a show coming to them--in my opinion
I know a shitload of cities deserve shows also
but these cities (all but Missoula ) haven't had a show in more than 5 years
and yes a lot of more cities haven't had a show in forever also but
these deserve some love--- in all fairness and equality ---
thanks for your time and you may now all rip me a new one
