I posted a sincere rip on this forum. How dare you be an asshole and wish an rip to this guy too.
I can't imagine this guy who passed has had such an impact on your life that you bring up EV.
EV isn't the only dude from the chicagoland area.0 -
CSN in Chicago had a special about Ernie Banks this weekend that included some comments from Len Kasper who does the Cubs TV broadcasts.
Len said that Ernie Banks was a PJ fan and loved talking about Eddie and the band.
They also showed some cool Wrigley footage when he was on stage.0 -
RIP, MR. BANKS.
WE WILL MISS YOU, SIR.

Ernie Banks was the embodiment of what it means to be a Cubs fan. Over two-thirds of his playing career was on teams with losing records, yet his optimism never faltered. Day in and day out you would never catch him with anything but a huge smile on his face. He was Mr. Cub, for sure, but he was also Mr. Sunshine. His smile was the most genuine and warmest of any I've ever seen. He remained a great ambassador for the Cubs organization for the rest of his life. He was a legend in the sport, a pioneer for the organization, a true gentleman, and he will be missed greatly not only by Cubs fans, but all of baseball.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

I heard on around the horn yesterday that a great way for MLB to honor Ernie Banks would be to have a double header day. Or a "let's play 2" day where every team plays a double header. Seems like something that could be easily done.0
