JJ Watt wouldn't / doesn't do dirty play like that. If he somehow did, he would turn around like any sane person would after Rodgers hit him. Turning around after it is obvious you didn't step on grass and someone then hits you is what a sane / honest person would do.

    Exactly.

Shocked that the NFL is allowing him to play this week...especially with his history of dirty plays.

you guys know what sport we are talking about right? yeah suh is dirty, an asshole, a scumbag, yada, yada, and yada.....but you know what? players have been doing that kind of stuff since this game was invented. dick butkus said that he intentionally tried to hurt players all the time. the only difference now is there are a million high def cameras recording every game so nothing goes unnoticed.

this isn't tennis we're talking about. it's fucking football.

i would love for suh to be on the eagles.

Well, this isn't the 50s and 60s anymore. It's a violent game and people are going to get hurt, but no room for bullshit like what Suh has pulled over the years.

And yeah, I would love for Suh to be on the Bears. Funny how a change of uniform can change your opinion on a guy.. ^:)^

i hear you....but imagine how outraged people would be if cbs somehow installed a gopro camera at the bottom of a pileup? it's not the 50's anymore, but it's still the nature of the game.

True...those pileups are awful. Those were brutal in high school...I can't even imagine what these guys do to each other.

It just amazes me that people like Suh still try to pull shit like that these days....you are going to get caught. Like you said, HD cameras everywhere aren't going to miss anything.

You would be correct....that kind of play has been going for YEARS IN THE PAST. Like that ref said awhile back...."he was giving the business in there"

This game is dangerous enough without fucktards intentionally trying to hurt you. I get it, it's the nfl, but stepping on people and twisting ankles at the bottom of a pile is absurd. It was absurd in the 60's and it's just insanity now.

yes! that is awesome. i miss old school football. where was the outrage? can you imagine if that happened nowadays? people would lose their shit.

i forgot which madden game it was but there was one year when summeral used to say "he's giving him the business" after you'd make a late hit or something. can you even make late hits anymore? i haven't played madded in years but wouldn't be surprised if they removed that stuff from video games too.

Apparently he had gone 33 games without a league sanctioned fine / suspension. The league resets you back to zero after 32 games, sorta like if you go three years without committing a driving offense on the license. Therefore he wasn't considered a "repeat offender" and they couldn't suspend him a game.

two preseason games each year are factored into the "32" game rule.

Exactly. It all comes down to respect. Respect for the players and respect for the game. Rodgers was carted off the field in the first half and then came back. Then this big stupid idiot intentionally steps on his ankle with his full weight. It's one hing to try and hurt someone with a vicious tackle during a play. But this is a defenceless player laying on the ground after the play was over. Suh is nothing but a bully and he doesn't respect the players or the game.

Is JJ Watt a bully for verbally abusing and belittling his opponents?

I think Suh's pathetic. The kick to Matt Schaub's balls was the worst one. I think it's closer to mental illness than simply being a dirty football player. His mind is wired to do that stuff. With Schaub, his foot was coincidentally flying by Schaub's groin as he went by, so he had to throw an extra kick into Schaub. It's almost involuntary. Like in his brain, the opportunity to kick Schaub there was too good to pass up. Same with Rodgers here, his one foot stepped on Rodgers, fine, but it's like first step triggered to his brain that "there's a leg under you! you can step on him again!" That's a mental problem. The time he stomped the guy on Thanksgiving was out of frustration, I've seen Joe Greene do that stuff in old highlights. But the Schaub and Rodgers things cry of mental imbalance.

There's a HUGE difference between talking shit and intentionally trying to injure someone.

I was just referencing the bully comment. Physical wounds heal. Mental wounds, not so much. If your better than someone just go out and beat them. To berate and belittle a weaker opponent knocks Watt down a few pegs for me.

Is icing the kicker bullying? Or are you just giving the kicker a time-out?

I'm sure you need to have thick skin to play in the NFL. Physical wounds heal, sure. But you can't play football with a broken ankle. Isn't it enough that these guys risk injury to play the game as it is? Now they need to worry about someone intentionally trying to injure them by stepping on their ankle when they're laying defenceless on the ground? That's not football.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with what suh does. Almost everyone talks shit. From Hines ward to Brett Favre to Richard Sherman.

As far as bullying, didn't that Miami dolphins guy get his feelings hurt because of bullying?
