"she dreams in color...."

Someone once told me that we humans don't dream in color.
Do what???
One dream I remember the colors vividly, as if it were real.
I was flying over the clouds, being taken somewhere I didn't want to go, but I couldn't believe how beautiful it was, the sun reflecting on the clouds all pink and orange and gold. It was stunning.
Do you remember your dreams in color?

What colorful dreams do you remember?
AET might get you some responses.0 -

Is this thread a result of indica or sativa?
:O)0 -
Sounds to me you were abducted. And I don't believe sativa or indica would cause this. At least not with me.0

This is very interesting, I didn't know about this. All the dreams I've dreamt and no way I can remember if they were in colors or not. Gave me something to think about this morning

Also when we are dreaming we can't read, as language is a written text. So if in your dream you came across a written text like a newspaper or a sign on the street it would not be letters just a blur.0

I've seen colors in dreams, and inhaled nostalgic scents too.
The mind's pretty powerful. Love the trips taken.
Whether or not assisted by the green, I firmly believe that the brain is connected to the dream-bone0 -

Wtf? Are quotes not working anymore or something? I was asking if that "no reading" thing is true that I'm-a-PJ-fan-and-won't-ever-leave-unfortunately wrote.0

I remember a very weird dream where colors were very clear. And when i dream about Ed, he's not in black and white ...for sure !! lol"We were but stones, ...Your light made us stars"0

Color is a standard formation point in memorization, there fore it is supposed that when we dream in color, it is memory based, ( as in past thoughts, ideals, and even fears!) and when we dream in black and white, it is due to lack of information on the things found in our subconscious..
This always seemed hokey to me.. But I have no clue.. It's just a note I took from Psychology class back in 92. As for reading in dreams, that part isn't true.. I have read things in my dreams.. It didn't make logical sense, as the one I can remember was I read a sign that told me: he he's water within walls. Don't ask! That's all I can remember of the dream.. Anyhow.. I always found that psychology note interesting.. I found Psychology interesting, until we got into motivations.. Then I just found humans more disturbing than ever..0 -

I rarely remember my dreams, but next time I do I will try to remember if it is in color!
PS - Nice, thought provoking thread based on PJ lyrics...Not sure why people get bent over where stuff is posted???

I know I dream in colour. One time I did have a black and white dream, and I woke up really tripped out.
What I always wonder about is wtf people who have been blind since birth dream of. :-/With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

I was actually asking a friend about this the other day . . . she's besties with this guy who has been 100% blind since birth, and her response was something like this. His experience of the world is completely without the visual sense, so when he goes to the beach, his experience of being on the beach is the sand, and the wind, and the sound of water, the sun on his skin. Or his experience of being on a train is the sound and the feeling of the motion, and the feeling of being surrounded by people. And yep, his experience of sex is touch, smell, sound and taste (and yes, apparently he gets super turned on by the 'sound' of sex, women talking and making noise etc - I had to ask!). So when he dreams of things, his dreams are just similar to his experience. If he dreams of a dog, he'll hear it barking or be patting it. I think our (non-blind peeps) dreams are overly visual because this is the sense with which we try and work shit out the most. We read visual cues, we 'see', more than we do anything else . . .
Very interesting!!! Thank you for sharing. :-)0 -
Imagine how intense hearing pj in concert would be if you're blind?0

I've always dreamt in color, sometimes the colors are more intense or more muted, but I've never had a black and white dream to my recollection...this is an interesting subject...Imagine how intense hearing pj in concert would be if you're blind?
That would be a wild ride BB!Music is my Religion and Pearl Jam, my Savior!

I was thinking about this the other day.
It's getting off topic, I know, but what if you suddenly lost your sight or hearing? Would you get as much out of a show like Pearl Jam's, having had experienced with all your senses intact?
I think I'd rather hear it then see it.0 -
For another perspective on music without one sense, I suggest searching out Given to Fly from St. Louis, 2000.
I fucking love Kym0 -

Because the energy seems to be intensified by sound of the music..I can't muffle out the sound to match deafness so I can't truly honestly answer that.. But I do know I would be heartbroken if I couldn't HEAR a show.0
