Romo? What? He's a good QB but not 18 million dollars a year good. And to mention him with Rodgers? Again...what?
Anyway, I had to comment on that Romo thing but the real reason I came to this thread right now is to note that "Thursday Night Football: Special Saturday Edition" might be the stupidest sentence I've ever heard on NFL network...and that's saying something considering how ridiculous some NFL network commercials can be
Romo has the highest QB rating, second only to Rodgers. And he's just as essential to his team's success as Rodgers is to his. And they're both going to make the playoffs.Another habit says it's in love with you

Slow your roll WTM. All Dallas has to do is.lose one and Philly win out and the cows are out. Phillly owns all of.the tie breakers. I think there's a scenario that if Dallas loses and Philly wins out, Dallas could get in IF GB loses out. But the odds that happening are slim to none. Way more likely that Dallas loses the next two. I have a crisp $10 Bill that still say Dallas doesn't make the playoffs. Wanna lock that in?0 -

Lol. Your on brother. Too bad we are just now starting this. We could have had a weekly bet set up all year. Maybe next season.0 -

Ha. I was thinking the same thing when I saw that last night. Can't they just call it Saturday Night Football for this week? Either way, I'm pretty damn excited for some NFL Saturday action this week even though the games aren't the greatest.0 -

What in the hell are next gen stats? They just said it on NFL network and all they did was draw a line that indicated DJax's route.0

I think there should be an unsportsmanlike penalty called on players that fake injuries to slow offenses down. I can't remember which game it was last week, but a cornerback hurt his hand after a play, began jogging off the field, then dropped to his knees. That's bull shit. He could have made it off the field. Others just lay down after a team gets a couple good plays, sits out for one play and comes right back in. They should be penalized for that shit. Washington has done it twice in one drive.Post edited by Last-12-Exit on0

That's an inaccurate chart. It doesn't go into the depth of the players contracts. $15 million of the $28 million signing bonus in the five-year, $103.75 million contract extension Matt Ryan signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2013 is deferred until this year. His extension also contains a $12 million option bonus for 2014 that he won't receive until 2015. An option bonus is essentially an additional signing bonus that typically comes in the second or third year of a contract to exercise later years in the deal.
Some other notable salary deferrals in contracts include Jay Cutler, Matthew Stafford, and Gerald McCoy. $5 million of Cutler's $22.5 million 2014 salary is payable next year.I Know All The Rules But The Rules Do Not Know Me.0 -

"Good QBs" get paid $18M a year...that's the going rate for a "Good NFL QB." It's just the way it is nowadays.

I wish they would show more commercials during these games
Replay more plays...call more penalties.
So exciting.0 -
Ian Eagle is so underrated. For my money he is third behind Al Michaels and Joe Buck.0
