Ouch, i just shipped out a few records recently, including Yield in a trade with someone here. Also waiting on a few records, including another copy of Yield... hope none of them arrive like that. Good luck getting a refund outta them, that's rediculous!

Dang, man, that stinks. I just don't get it.....their one and only job is to get something from point A to point B in a safe and efficient manner. How packages can get so banged up, I mean you have to really try to F something up that bad, is beyond me @-) . Hope you're able to work out everything and get a refund.

it's worth noting that the holiday season probably contributed to this poor record's demise. Dunno if USPS does it but Fed Ex and UPS both hire seasonal help at this time to handle the increased volume of packages. It also means that more shit gets tossed around carelessly.

I'd walk right in to the post office and ask to speak to the manager with that thing in my hand. It will be a COMPLETE waste of time and energy, and will serve absolutely no purpose as they won't do anything about it, but you never know.

  • Thanks everyone. It hurts because that's only less vinyl in the world. I'm very thankful that the trader had insurance too.
I've never received something damaged like this so out of 1000 things shipped it's not that bad. It's just a shame.
Hopefully I get refunded and I can locate a replacement.

The lady at my local post office told me not to write "fragile"....but write "breakable" because everyone writes fragile on everything

So sad to see one go down....u should have a funeral and give her a proper burial!

happened to me with into the wild - but it wasnt marked fragile -- was folder over (it takes some force to fold a record in half) and shoved in my mailbox ...

my friend had his No Jeremy single folded in a similar manner. 10club was nice enough to replace it

but there is a special place in hell for the bastards that do this to records.

I am constantly paranoid about my stuff in the mail/courier system. I have had pretty good luck with it, but these horror stories, especially with USPS, keep me worried with every purchase!!
    That SUCKS Tempo! =((

Heart breaking. What a bunch of crap. Hope your insurance comes through. It's so ridiculous how sometimes the last possible step (putting it in the mailbox) is what gets some stuff. I love (hate) when photo mailers have PHOTOS DO NOT BEND and they stuff them in the box. This is worse because it seems like that would be really difficult to bend that much. Like somebody was TRYING to fuck it up.

I just got a soggy and creased poster tube in the mail today from 10C.

And of course, mail innovations doesn't offer the automatic $50 insurance like regular USPS priority packages do.
